Background Radioresistance limits the effectiveness of radiotherapy in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. We previously demonstrated post-radiogenic mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway activation and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) release resulting in reduced tumor cell response. Background— Treatment of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) with a protease and cholesterolesterase transforms the lipoprotein to an entity that resembles lipoprotein particles in atherosclerotic lesions, which have a high content of free cholesterol, reflecting extensive de-esterification in the intima. Latvijas meža augšņu humusa raksturojums un veidošanās lauksaimniecības zemju apmežošanās procesā

Promocijas darbā pētītas augsnes virskārtas morfoloģiskās īpašības (atbilstoši EHFRB humusa formu klasifikācijai), organisko vielu saturs, padziļināti pētīts augsnes humusvielu sastāvs un ķīmiskās īpašības. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka sausieņu mežos Latvijā organiskajām vielām relatīvi bagātu augšņu (mull humusa formas) telpisko izplatību nosaka glacigēnie un glaciolimniskie nogulumi. Lauksaimniecības zemju apmežošanās procesā organisko vielu uzkrāšanās augsnes virskārtā sākas 30 gadus pēc apmežošanās, augstākā C krāja ir 60 līdz 100 gadus vecu meža zemju augsnēs. CITES konvencijas noteikumu pārkāpumu izpēte starptautiskajā lidostā “Rīga”

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izanalizēt CITES konvencijas pārkāpumus starptautiskajā lidostā „Rīga” un visā Latvijas teritorijā, to cēloņus, izstrādāt ieteikumus un risinājumus šo pārkāpumu novēršanai. Darbā analizēti autores veikto aptauju rezultāti, intervējot ielidojošos pasažierus starptautiskajā lidostā „Rīga” no Eiropas Savienības un trešajām valstīm par attieksmi pret CITES konvenciju, noskaidrojot informētības līmeni un informācijas avotus. Izanalizēta CITES konvencijas pārkāpumu skaita dinamika lidostā „Rīga” periodā no 2011.-2015.gadam. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 66 lapaspusēm. Darbs satur 23 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 54 izmantotos literatūras avotus un 1 pielikumu.
