The widespread use of pesticides, especially in agricultural areas, makes necessary to control their presence in surrounding surface waters. The current study was designed to investigate the occurrence and ecological risks of pesticides and their transformation products in a Mediterranean river basin impacted by citrus agricultural production. This research analyses the conditions imposed on national, EU and non-EU citizens who wish to access minimum income (MI) benefits within four EU Member States, specifically within Finland, France, Ireland and Spain. The primary aim is to identify and compare the required MI access conditions. Furthermore, focus is given to the residence requisites, which are discussed in relation to relevant supranational regulations in order to detect possible multilevel implications. Generating a Located Synthetic Population of Individuals, Households, and Dwellings

Some of the new approaches in urban modeling, such as multi-agent systems (MAS) or activity-based models (ABM), require inputs in the form of disaggregated individual data. But for privacy protection reasons, such data is seldom available at this level. One way to get around this obstacle is to generate a synthetic population. This paper presents a method for generating a population from fully aggregated socio-demographic and geographic data. Based on French examples, this method can be reproduced anywhere in the country providing a relevant linkage between the characteristics of agents and those of urban spaces.
