The 2D:4D ratio and its relationship with other androgenisation parameters in parents of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

The 2D:4D ratio is the quotient between the index and ring fin-ger lengths and is a non-direct indicator of androgenisation. If prenatal tes-tosterone levels in the amniotic fluid are high then the probability increases of developing lower ratio values. It has been suggested that people with au-tism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their parents may have highly andro-genised brains, and for this reason the 2D:4D ratio is used as a marker of such idiosyncrasies. Viljama Šekspīra luga “Hamlets” un tās iestudējumi latviešu teātrī

mērķis ir sniegt daudzpusīgu traģēdijas “Hamlets” tulkojuma analīzi, kā arī veidot radošu un objektīvu Šekspīra lugas iestudējumu analīzi latviešu teātrī, apskatot iestudējumus, kas tapuši laika posmā no 1894. līdz 2008.gadam. Aplūkotie piecpadsmit iestudējumi, kas iestudēti visos lielākajos Rīgas un reģionālajos teātros, tostarp arī Rīgas Latviešu teātrī, kurā tapusi pirmā “Hamlets” lugas interpretācija latviešu teātrī. Autore ir secinājusi, ka luga “Hamlets” tiek iestudēta kā sava laika un sabiedrības spogulis, balstoties uz teātra valodu un tehniku, kas raksturīga režisoram, kurš veido lugas interpretāciju.

Recombinant nanocapsid for targeted theranostic delivery

Developments in diagnostic and therapeutic delivery are trending towards molecular level targeting with nano-platforms. Targeted delivery reduces generalized distribution by localizing diagnostic and/or therapeutic (theranostic) molecules to an intended target site. The first section of this thesis proposes Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) nanocapsids as a vector to stabilize and target theranostic delivery. Derived from the capsid protein of HEV, a feco-orally transmitted virus, HEV-like particles self-assemble in to non-infectious, nanocapsids that can withstand harsh protease and pH conditions in the mucosal system. Objective: Subjective well-being is a crucial variable for mental health practitioners. This study examines the influence of therapists’ attachment dimensions and self-reported reflective functioning on their perceived well-being. Further, it examines if reflective functioning mediates the association between attachment insecurity and well-being. Method: A total of 416 experienced psychotherapists were enrolled in this cross-sectional study, and completed self-report measures of attachment insecurity, reflective functioning, and well-being. Orientācija uz nākotni un sasniegumu motivācija

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot saistību starp orientāciju uz nākotni un sasniegumu motivāciju, ka arī saistību starp šo konstruktu apakšskalām. Pētījumā piedalījās 52 viena Latvijas būvuzņēmuma administratīvie darbinieki (16 sievietes, 36 vīrieši), vecumā no 18 līdz 40 gadiem (vidējais respondenta vecums 32,22 gadi, SD 4,79). Ka pētījuma metode tika izvēlēta elektroniskā anketēšanas metode. Orientācijas uz nākotni noteikšanai tika izmantota uz Segineres modeļa balstīta izstrādāta aptauja (Koļesovs 2009), bet sasniegumu motivācijas mērīšanai tika izmantota 2013. gada maģistra darba ietvaros Darjas Milovas adaptēta „Result Achievment Motivation, RAM, Mehrabian, 1969” aptauja. Ierosinātas neuzticēšanās ietekme uz apstiprināšanas noslieci tiešsaistes informācijas atlasē

Darba mērķis bija veikt eksperimentālu pētījumu – tiešsaistes informācijas atlasi, kurā novērot, vai veidojas tendence uz apstiprināšanas noslieci un vai to ietekmē ierosināta neuzticēšanās. Darbā tika izvirzīta hipotēze, ka, neveicot manipulācijas, kas izraisītu neuzticēšanās domāšanas veidu pirms informācijas atlases, tiks novērota apstiprināšanas nosliece un, ka, veicot manipulācijas, kas izraisīs neuzticēšanās domāšanas veidu pirms informācijas atlases, samazināsies apstiprināšanas noslieces efekts, salīdzinot ar kontrolgrupu. Introduction: Videogames have become more popular across females, although their widespread diffusion among males. How- ever, few studies have examined differences between female and male gamers and gender-specific risk factors for Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). Objectives: The study aimed to describe males and females’ differ- ences in a sample of gamers, and to identify gender-specific risk- factors for IGD, accounting for alexithymia, playing habits, and other perceived stressors.
