Regulation of motility of cells from marine sponges by calcium ions

Sponges are known not to contain muscle and nerve cells. Since sponge cells are characterized by high motility we determined the effect of intracellular calcium ion concentration ([Ca2+]i) on their motility. Addition of the Ca2+ ionophore ionomycin to dissociated cells from the marine sponge Suberites domuncula caused in Ca(2+)-containing artificial seawater (ASW) an increase in motility from 0.2 micron/min (absence of the ionophore) to 3.7 microns/min (presence of ionomycin). Hahmottamisen haasteet ja kuulumisen rakentuminen lapsen arjessa

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli lisätä ymmärrystä lapsen, jolla on hahmottamisen haasteita ja ADHD, arjesta. Keskeisenä nähtiin lapsen näkökulma, jolloin oire- ja ongelmakeskeisyydestä pyrittiin tietoisesti etääntymään. Tutkimus asettui lapsuudentutkimuksen alueelle, ottaen huomioon sen keskeiset metodologiset lähtökohdat. Aineisto kerättiin lapsia haastattelemalla ja havainnoimalla. Tutkimukseen osallistui 7 lasta. Aineisto analysoitiin sisällönanalyysin mukaisesti kuulumisen (belonging) käsitettä hyödyntäen. Lapsen kuulumisen rakentumisen kannalta tärkeää oli arjen helppous ja yhteenkuuluvuus. Maisterintutkielmani on projektikuvaus, jossa kuvataan laulujuhlien järjestämisprosessi suunnittelusta toteutukseen ja toteutuksen arviointiin. Kuvaan juhlaideaa, suunnittelua ja toteutusta. Lasten laulujuhlien idean lähtökohtana on Oulussa vietetyt Lasten laulujuhlat vuosina 2010 ja 2013. Laulujuhlille mukaan kutsuttiin 13 kuntaa, joista 11 vastasi haasteeseen. Juhlat kokosivat Haapavedelle 21.4.2016 yli 800 7-12- vuotiasta lasta. Tutkielmani on sekä tapaus- että toimintatutkimus. Tapaustutkimuksena työni kuvaa yhtä juhlaprosessia. Objetivo. Evaluar las diferencias en las dimensiones del bienestar psicológico en función de los grupos de edad, sexo y su interacción. Método. Se obtuvo una muestra de 706 participantes, dividida en tres grupos de edad (jóvenes, adultos y adultos mayores), quienes respondieron a las escalas de bienestar psicológico de Ryff. Although different studies have investigated career choices as cognitive acts of decision-making, non-cognitive components also play an important role. The study tries to develop an empirically based model of career decision-making process linking cognitive (search for work self-efficacy - SWSE) and non-cognitive (psychological well-being - PWB) components. The relationship between social anxiety and cannabis use among adolescents and young adults is a highly debated topic. In this cross-sectional study, we tested whether cannabis use expectancies mediated the association between social anxiety and cannabis use severity in a sample of 343 young adults (74.3% male) who used cannabis. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt saikni starp piedošanas dimensijām (piedošana sev, piedošana citiem un piedošana situācijām), sēru simptomiem un zaudējuma raksturlielumiem sievietēm pēc perinatālā zaudējuma. Kā arī noskaidrot kādā mērā piedošana un zaudējuma raksturlielumi prognozē sēru simptomus. Pētījuma respondentu izlasi veido 440 sievietes, vecumā no 20 līdz 45. gadiem, kur vidējais vecums ir 33,2 gadi.
