FROM A COLLABORATIVE DESIGNING OF STORYTELLING TO A ROBOTIC AND VIRTUAL WORLD REPRESENTATION

This paper presents an experiential learning lab focused on building a digital storytelling using both robots with LEGO Mindstorms and virtual worlds with Kodu Game Lab. The experiential laboratory (32 hours) has involved 33 children of secondary schools in a collaborative learning setting in formal (school labs) and informal learning context (external cultural association). In a first phase of the activity children used Lego Mindstorm robotic kits, assembling them and creating a physical environment (pasterboard arenas) where robots were programmed for moving and taking actions. Bridging the gap between research into biological and psychosocial models of psychosis.

Paul Bebbington's recent Special Article provides an excellent synthesis of recent advances in psychosocial research on psychosis. However, we doubt that a model based solely on social epidemiology and cognitive theory can totally describe psychosis, and to be fair, Bebbington does not suggest that it does. A complete model must also incorporate what we have learned from non-social epidemiology, neuroscience, and genetics. Objective: Stereotyped beliefs about schizophrenia are well-established in the society and relatively common among healthcare professionals and students. The aim of this study was to investigate the opinions about the causes, treatment, and outcome of schizophrenia among healthcare students. Method: Undergraduate nursing and psychology students completed selected items of the Opinion on Mental Illness Questionnaire after reading a clinical vignette of undiagnosed schizophrenia. The survey concerns the bibliometric analysis of the scientific productivity of the 8 Scientific Areas in which the Academic Italian System of Psychology is subdivided (Settori Scientifico-Disciplinari, SSD). La sclerosi multipla, malattia infiammatoria-demielinizzante a decorso cronico, determina forti vissuti piscologici negativi ed è resa invalidante dall'imprevedibilità della sintomatologia, nonchè dalla progressiva disabilità. E' stata realizzata una ricerca-intervento finalizzata ad approfondire l'evoluzione delle condizioni di salute in donne con sclerosi multipla e a determinare il ruolo di variabili psicosociali come fattori di sostegno. L'analisi preliminare dei dati rileva l'importanza delle strategie di coping nella gestione della malattia.

Nell’analisi della dispersione scolastica il fenomeno della procrastination è stato spesso sottovalutato. La nostra ricerca ha correlato i processi di selfhandicapping con quelli connessi all’abbandono del percorso di studio. La procrastination è stata studiata come processo di co-stante rinvio degli impegni scolastici e delle occasioni di recupero.
