INCLUSION THROUGH TRAINING AND METHODOLOGY OF ADAPTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION

2023

The theme of practicing sport for people with disabilities goes far beyond the simplification of a healthy lifestyle, but refers to complex aspects of a pedagogical, educational, social, and cultural nature that combine to outline the education and training system of future professionals in this field. This is demonstrated by the growing interest that the question has aroused in recent decades, with the issuing of supranational regulatory provisions that recall the right of all minors, without distinction, to an education capable of harmoniously involving every dimension that constitutes human being, including the education of the body; and this is highlighted by the numerous reviews of int…

L’Adapted Physical Education e l’inclusione

2022

Middleware with QoS Support to Control Intelligent Systems

2008

This paper presents the architecture of a middleware for control component-based distributed systems. The fundamental idea underlying this architecture is the use of a hierarchical communications structure called "logical namespace tree" and a structured set of control processes interconnected, called "logical sensors graph". This architecture is named frame sensor adapter control (FSA-Ctrl). The aim of FSA-Ctrl is to provide a simple interface to specify the control actions and ensure a communication with some specified QoS parameters restrictions. In this architecture both systems, communication and control, manages the QoS policies. The communication system is based on the data distribut…

Kva med oss? : hvordan se annerledes ut, og vokse opp i et hovedsakelig etnisk norsk miljø?

2013

Masteroppgave i psykisk helsearbeid ME504 Universitetet i Agder 2013 The theme of this study is how it feels to look different, and grow up in an anvironment existing mainly of ethnic Norwegians. The basis are stories about this written by internationally adopted people over 18 years of age. The task is a qualitative study, which uses a narrative approach in form of a specialty controlled life history. The purpouse of the study is to look at the story of each informant. The background of the study is 12 stories, and these are given by the foundation “Adopsjonsforum”. It`s the informants themselves who have created the different themes. In the analysis I have used Malterud (2008) as a source…

Childhood abuse experiences, depression and dissociation symptoms in relation to suicide attempts and suicidal ideation

2021

This study aimed to examine associations between suicide attempts (SA), suicidal ideation (SI), depression, dissociative symptoms, emotional abuse, physical abuse and sexual abuse, and to explore predictors of SA and SI, as well as possible mediating factors. We also aimed to examine support for a dissociative depression subgroup. Participating in this study were 342 adults, of these were 138 respondents with a diagnosis of depression (DG), and 204 respondents comprising a community sample (CS). Respondents completed the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale - Revised (CESD-R), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire - Short Form (CTQ-SF), and Dissociative Experience Scale (DES). All but…

False positive rate of an arrayCGH platform for single-cell preimplantation genetic screening and subsequent clinical application on day-3

2013

In this work, false positive rate of an arrayCGH platform for its use in day-3 single-blastomere analysis was calculated. For this purpose, 38 embryos diagnosed as abnormal on day-3 by FISH were re-biopsied on day-4. Single-cell day-4 arrayCGH diagnosis was then performed. A successful amplification was obtained in 97.4 % (37/38) of the day-4 cells analysed by arrayCGH. Day-3 FISH and day-4 arrayCGH diagnosis were concordant in 35/37 cases. The two discordant embryos were spread and all the cells from each embryo were re-analysed by FISH on day 5. The same error rate (2.7 %) for day-3 FISH and day-4 arrayCGH was obtained when comparing day-5 FISH re-analysis. After this pre-clinical phase, …

Concordance of Genomic Alterations between Primary and Recurrent Breast Cancer

2014

Abstract There is growing interest in delivering genomically informed cancer therapy. Our aim was to determine the concordance of genomic alterations between primary and recurrent breast cancer. Targeted next-generation sequencing was performed on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, profiling 3,320 exons of 182 cancer-related genes plus 37 introns from 14 genes often rearranged in cancer. Point mutations, indels, copy-number alterations (CNA), and select rearrangements were assessed in 74 tumors from 43 patients (36 primary and 38 recurrence/metastases). Alterations potentially targetable with established or investigational therapeutics were considered “actionable.” Alterations…

PI3K pathway mutations and PTEN levels in primary and metastatic breast cancer.

2011

Abstract The purpose of this work was to determine whether there are differences in PIK3CA mutation status and PTEN protein expression between primary and matched metastatic breast tumors as this could influence patient management. Paraffin sections of 50 μm were used for DNA extraction and slides of 3 μm for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and FISH. Estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2 IHC were repeated in a central laboratory for both primary tumors and metastases. PTEN levels were assessed by IHC and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway mutations were detected by a mass spectroscopy–based approach. Median age was 48 years (range: 30–83 years). Tumor subtype included 72% horm…

The relevance of recurrent brief depression in primary care. A report from the WHO project on Psychological Problems in General Health Care conducted…

1994

This report from the WHO project on Psychological Problems in General Health Care examines the relevance in primary care of the concept of recurrent brief depression (RBD) proposed by Jules Angst. RBD refers to brief, severe depressive episodes that recur frequently, i.e. nearly once a month over, a 1-year period, according to Angst. Using a structured interview (CIDI), RBD was assessed in patients not meeting the criteria for depressive episodes lasting at least 2 weeks, as defined in the ICD-10 (DE). A substantial proportion of primary care seekers were identified as presenting RBD without other depressive disorders, 3.7% with a formal RBD diagnosis and 2.7% with frequent but not monthly …

Diet shapes the gut microbiota of the omnivorous cockroach Blattella germanica

2015

The gut microbiota of insects contributes positively to the physiology of its host mainly by participating in food digestion, protecting against pathogens, or provisioning vitamins or amino acids, but the dynamics of this complex ecosystem is not well understood so far. In this study, we have characterized the gut microbiota of the omnivorous cockroach Blattella germanica by pyrosequencing the hypervariable regions V1-V3 of the 16S rRNA gene of the whole bacterial community. Three diets differing in the protein content (0, 24 and 50%) were tested at two time points in lab-reared individuals. In addition, the gut microbiota of wild adult cockroaches was also analyzed. In contrast to the high…
