Tēmas aktualitāte ir saistīta ar krūšu ļaundabīgu audzēju statistiku Latvijā, Eiropā un pasaulē. Pēc PVO datiem, 2018.gadā no pasaulē reģistrētajiem onkoloģisko slimību gadījumiem, 11% jeb 2 088 957 gadījumi ir krūšu ļaundabīgie audzēji. Objectives: On the basis of the “Surgical Checklist” proposed by the WHO, we propose a new Checklist model adapted to the procedures of endodontic treatment. Study Design: The proposed document contains 21 items which are broken down into two groups: those which must be verified before beginning the treatment, and those which must be verified after completing it, but before the patient leaves the dentist’s office. Results: The Checklist is an easy-to-use tool that requires little time but provides, order, logic and systematization by taking into account certain basic concepts to increase patient safety. Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the anterior chamber depth (ACD) in teenagers using two different devices: partial coherence interferometry IOLMaster (Carl Zeiss Meditec) and anterior segment optical coherence tomography (Visante TM OCT, Carl Zeiss Meditec) and to evaluate the degree of agreement between ACD measurements carried out by both instruments. Despite the importance of patients’ psychological well-being in their own recovery from illness, few studies examine these issues while the patient is still in ICU. This study analyzes the psychological distress of 71 ICU patients and the potential risk/protective factors for such distress. Patients showed moderate anxiety and depression although in a significant percentage clinical symptomatology was observed. More than halve of the patients revealed an intermediate general stress level and the most important stressor was having pain. El objetivo del presente trabajo era valorar la prevalencia de trastornos témporomandibulares(TTM) en pacientes esquizofrénicos comparados con pacientes control. Diseño del estudio. El estudio se realizó en 50 pacientes esquizofrénicos ingresados en la Unidad de Psiquiatría del Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena de Sevilla y se compararon con 50 pacientes adultos de los que acuden a recepción de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Sevilla, excluyendo de este último grupo aquellos pacientes que presentaban alguna patología sistémica en el momento de la exploración o en los seis meses previos a ésta.
