Tässä pro gradu-tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin tyypin 1 diabetesta sairastavien nuorten psykologista joustavuutta, mielialaa ja elämänlaatua kohderyhmässä, jossa hoitotasapaino on heikko. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli kartoittaa nuorten masennus- ja ahdistuneisuusoireiden sekä elämänlaadun tasoa. Lisäksi tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tarkastella hoitotasapainon yhteyttä elämänlaatuun sekä masennus- ja ahdistuneisuusoireisiin. Tavoitteena oli myös selvittää nuorten tietoisen läsnäolon ja hyväksynnän sekä diabetekseen liittyvän psykologisen joustavuuden yhteyttä hoitotasapainoon, elämänlaatuun ja masennus- ja ahdistuneisuusoireisiin. A follow-up data on electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure (BP) changes in adolescent athletes are scarce. We compared ECG and BP between adolescent athletes and non-athletes in a 4-year follow-up. A total of 154 youth sports clubs (SC) in Finland and 100 secondary schools for comparison data participated in this observational follow-up study. Those who maintained or adopted SC participation are referred to as “Always athletes” (n=137), those who never participated in SC as “Never athletes” (n=108) and those who dropped out of SC during the follow-up as “Changers” (n=116). In the present experimental study, we disable the sympathetic part of the ANS by applying a stellate ganglion block (SGB) in an experimental model of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) of the biceps muscle. Patients have the right to know all the information related to any action performed on them and dental or medical doctors are obliged to obtain their patient?s prior written informed consent (IC) before undertaking any healthcare procedures. Here we reviewed the legality and jurisprudence in Spain regarding IC. We also used INFLESZ text readability analysis software to analyse a sample of official Spanish informed consent documents (ICDs) from different surgical and interventional procedures related to dentistry and oral cavity interventions. Traditionally, intimate-partner violence has been considered a special type of crime that occurs behind closed doors, with different characteristics from street-level crime. The aim of this study is to analyze the spatial overlap of police calls reporting street-level and behind-closed-doors crime. We analyzed geocoded police calls in the 552 census-block groups of the city of Valencia, Spain, related to street-level crime (N = 26,624) and to intimate-partner violence against women (N = 11,673).
