Lope defended the usefulness of history presented on stage, that is, theatre’s function of preserving and creating a collective memory. In the case of La nueva victoria de don Gonzalo and La nueva victoria del marqués de Santa Cruz, this playwright dramatized military events that took place immediately before the composition of these plays. Background Silver diamine fluoride has attracted attention because of its clinical success in arresting dental caries. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different application times and concentrations of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) on deciduous tooth enamel remineralization. Material and Methods Blocks of deciduous tooth enamel were categorized into six groups of 11 each: 2 control groups: intact enamel, and demineralized enamel; 38% SDF and 30% SDF which were subdivided according to application times (1 and 3 min). Enamel remineralization and surface roughness after treatment with herbal-containing toothpastes

Background Oral care products containing bioactive agents obtained from extracts of plant drugs were launched. This in vitro study investigated the effects of herbal-containing toothpastes associated or not with fluoride to remineralize the enamel after cariogenic challenge with pH cycling. The chemical and physical factors of toothpastes and the enamel surface roughness after brushing were also analyzed. Due quadri di G. A. Sirani mostrano allegoricamente lo stretto legame fra poesia, pittura e musica riconosciuto nell’Italia della prima modernità. Il saggio esplora la natura del legame fra pittura e musica, prendendo in considerazione tre livelli: la teoria (le proporzioni pitagoriche e la riflessione sul mestiere di pittore), la composizione (termine usato tanto dai pittori quanto dai musici), la vita quotidiana (pittori che fanno musica e musici che disegnano e dipingono).

Study and analysis of the panel painting of the Madonna del Rosario with Dominican and Franciscan saints is kept in the church of Maria SS. del Rosario in the Parrini village, a small fraction of Partinico, in the province of Palermo. The restoration intervention allowed the discovery of an initials that reveal the author: the painter, perhaps Venetian, Geronimo Rizzardi, a mannerist artist inserted in the context of the city of Palermo at the end of the sixteenth century.

El presente texto plantea una serie de reflexiones sobre la figura del pintor Lluís Dalmau, uno de los introductores de la pintura gótica flamenca en la Corona de Aragón. El análisis surge a partir de la presentación de un nuevo documento inédito sobre un retablo contratado en 1451 por Isabel de Requesens, esposa del gobernador de Cataluña, Galceran de Requesens, para la baronía de Molins de Rei (Barcelona). El documento sitúa al pintor realizando este encargo en Valencia, lo que supone un regreso hasta ahora desconocido a su ciudad natal tras haber realizado la tabla de la Mare de Déu dels Consellers, de Barcelona (1443-1445), y el retablo de san Baudilio, de Sant Boi de Llobregat (1448). …

This volume, not a simple archaeological guide, adds to the description of the monuments and museums of Sabratha also some reflections on general themes as sculpture, urban developement, religious architecture, civic and domestic buildings, paintings and mosaics of the punico-hellenistic, Roman and Christian Sabratha. It also gives account of the researches of the Archaeological Mission of the Palermo University, directed by the late Professor Nicola Bonacasa, and it includes the contribution of external scholars, which very recently published some monuments of great interest.

Mandruzzato), a reconstruction of the appearance of the city during the Roman age and a description of the wall paintings and mosaic pavements of some houses, located in different areas of the city, are proposed.
