A Multilayered Plate Theory with Transverse Shear and Normal Warping Functions

A multilayered plate theory which takes into account transverse shear and normal stretching is presented. The theory is based on a seven-unknowns kinematic field with five warping functions. Four warping functions are related to the transverse shear behaviour, the fifth is related to the normal stretching. The warping functions are issued from exact three-dimensional solutions. They are related to the variations of transverse shear and normal stresses computed at specific points for a simply supported bending problem. El objetivo de la Tesis Doctoral es estudiar los factores determinantes de la salida a bolsa en el mercado continuo español. Para ello considera una muestra de 44 empresas no financieras que salieron a bolsa en España en el periodo comprendido entre 1997 y 2010 y utiliza una muestra de control de empresas que eran susceptibles de salir a bolsa en el mismo periodo, pero que optaron por no hacerlo. Para el logro del objetivo señalado, la Tesis se estructura en una Introducción general, cuatro capítulos, una sección en la que se recogen la discusión y las conclusiones de la Tesis, las referencias bibliográficas y siete anexos. Summary Levels of free 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC), its malonyl conjugate (MACC) and ACC-synthase activity were significantly higher in the needles of damaged Norway spruce trees ( Picea abies (L.) Karst ) compared with those in undamaged trees during both the diurnal and seasonal courses. The concentrations of ACC and MACC, and ACC-synthase activity fluctuated much more intensively in the needles of damaged trees both in the diurnal and the seasonal courses than in those of undamaged ones, which implies that damaged trees respond more sensitively to the environmental conditions. Abstract Background Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous disorder characterized by usually progressive development of airflow obstruction that is not fully reversible. While most patients will experience symptoms throughout the day or in the morning upon awakening, many patients do not experience their symptoms as constant but report variability in symptoms during the course of the day or over time. Aqueous coefficient calculations for chemicals and drugs

Aqueous functional group activity coefficients (AQUAFAC) is a group‐contribution method for estimating the aqueous coefficients. We have written a program for the calculation of these coefficients. The solubility S w of alkanes shows variation of 8 orders of magnitude. The comparison with experiment shows that AQUAFAC gives good S w estimations. For 4'‐substituted acetanilides, I‐, Br‐, nitro‐, Cl‐, F‐ and methoxy‐substituents decrease S w, while formyl‐ and amino‐substituents increase S w. For acetaminophen esters, S w decreases from the acetate to the decanoate. The S w of 29 barbiturates shows typical errors of 0.4 log S w units. Measurement Invariance of the Scale of Positive and Negative Experience Across 13 Countries

The Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) is widely used to measure emotional experiences, but not much is known about its cross-cultural utility. The present study evaluated the measurement invariance of the SPANE across adult samples (N = 12,635; age range = 18-85 years; 58.2% female) from 13 countries (China, Colombia, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, and the United States). Configural and partial scalar invariance of the SPANE were supported. Three items capturing specific negative emotions (sad, afraid, and angry) were found to be culturally noninvariant.
