PREMISE OF THE STUDY: The correct assessment of homology is an important prerequisite for reconstructing phylogenetic relationships and character evolution. Old World Papaveroideae (Papaver, Meconopsis, Roemeria, Stylomecon) show substantial diversity in gynoecium and capsule morphology. In particular, capsules can have distinct styles (Meconopsis p.p., Stylomecon) or a sessile stigmatic disc (Papaver). Molecular phylogenetic analyses of Old World Papaveroideae had shown that neither taxa with styles nor those with stigmatic discs represent monophyletic lineages. For studies of the evolution of development in angiosperms, early‐diverging eudicot taxa are of particular interest for comparisons with established core eudicot model plants, such as Arabidopsis. Here we provide a detailed description of shoot and floral development of the basal eudicot California poppy (Eschscholzia californica). Rosette formation in the vegetative phase is accompanied by increased leaf complexity and shoot apex size. The flowering phase is characterized by internode elongation, formation of dissected cauline leaves, terminal flowers, and basipetal inflorescence branching. Aims and objectives To explore the knowledge, attitudes and practices related to cervical cancer and its prevention in Spain. Background Worldwide, women's knowledge about cervical cancer is low, and their attitudes towards its prevention are good, but they do not correlate with the screening uptake. Although the rates of Spanish women performing cervical cancer screening are mostly acceptable, their knowledge and attitudes about it have not been explored. Design Qualitative descriptive study. La fundació de la Universitat de València fou la culminació d’una llarga trajectòria que es remunta a la pretensió de Jaume I de conferir rang universitari a les escoles creades després de la conquesta. La seua unificació pels magistrats municipals en 1499, una butlla papal de 1500 i un privilegi regi de 1502 donaren pas a la seua inauguració oficial baix patronat municipal. Des d’ara, l’increment del pressupost universitari i les dificultats de la Ciutat per a finançar-lo va exigir la cerca de soluciones que van culminar amb la butlla de Sixte V de creació de les pabordies en 1585. Resumen: El objeto de este trabajo es dar a conocer y estudiar la edicion de una bula de indulgencias de la Santa Cruzada, de vivos, escrita en catalan e impresa en Toledo en 1495, de la cual se ha hallado un ejemplar en el Archivo de la Catedral de Valencia. De acuerdo con la informacion disponible a dia de hoy se trata de un ejemplar unico en el mundo.
