Papilio-ohjelma on sosioemotionaalisten taitojen tukemiseen ja käyttäytymisen haasteiden ehkäisyyn kehitetty ohjelma varhaiskasvatusikäisille lapsille (Scheithauer, Bondü, Hess & Mayer 2016, 157). Among the butterflies of the genus Papilio (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae), Papilio hospiton (Géné) has a geographical distribution limited to the Mediterranean islands of Sardinia (Italy) and Corsica (France). Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää Papilio-ohjelman lapsille suunnatun intervention vaikuttavuutta lasten sosioemotionaalisten taitojen kehittymisessä. Tutkimuksessa hyödynnettiin Jyväskylän yliopiston Papilio-ohjelma lasten sosioemotionaalisten taitojen tukemiseen ja itsesäätelypulmien ennaltaehkäisyyn -tutkimushankeen aineistoa, joka on kerätty syksyn 2015 ja kevään 2016 aikana 5–6-vuotiailta lapsilta. Papilio-hankkeen tarkoituksena on selvittää saksalaisen interventio-ohjelman siirrettävyyttä suomalaiseen varhaiskasvatuskontekstiin.
