THE DEPOSIZIONE PAINTING FROM S. CATERINA MONASTERY IN PALERMO, ITALY: A TECHNICAL STUDY ON A ‘TRASPARENTE’ PAINTING

The article analyzes the Deposizione painting of Giovanni Patricolo from S. Caterina monastery in Palermo, a painting realized by a particular technique of artistic representation attested in the 19th century: the ‘trasparente’ paintings, a specific kind of ephemeral apparatuses. The focus of this study is to shed light on the practical functions and the chronological path of this work of art, connecting it with the specific executive technique of the manufact. Furthermore, this research was a preliminary study aimed at designing an appropriate intervention for the restoration and conservation of the painting and a proper valorization of this artwork.

The essay deals with the damage caused by loss of parental relationship and how it is regulated in various foreign legal systems. In particular, it will analyze the evolution of the Italian concept of the limit of “ordine pubblico”, as regulated by L. 218/1995, through a jurisprudence analysis and it will be highlighted that there is a hard core of this concept, which is linked to the protection of fundamental human rights, which cannot be affected by any foreign legal system. Biographical entry for the "Dizionario biografico degli italiani". Francesco Paolo Parenti (1764-1821) studied music in Naples; at the age of 26, he moved to Paris where he spent the most part of his life and career. Ho wrote some opéra-comiques for the Parisian stage ("Les portraits", 1790; "L’homme et le malheur", 1793; "Le cri de la patrie", 1793). He also played in the orchestra of the Théâtre de la Société Olympique conducted by Antonio Bartolomeo Bruni at the beginning of the XIX century. Later he was active as a singing teacher (his "Philomelodia ou L’art de chanter" is partially preserved).

Muscle Dysmorphia in Adolescence: The Role of Parental Psychological Control on a Potential Behavioral Addiction

Objective The study investigated the relationship between psychological parental control and muscle dysmorphia in adolescence, as form of exercise dependence, focusing also on the role of pathological worry. Methods Participants were 312 adolescents (140 boys and 172 girls) aged 16 to 18 years (M= 17.05; SD = 0.85) and completed the Muscle Dysmorphia Disorder Inventory, the Dependency-oriented and Achievement-oriented Parental Psychological Control, and the Penn State Worry Questionnaire.
