W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono istotę taksonomii numerycznej. Pokazano algorytm metody oraz jej zastosowanie w naukach społecznych. Nadrzednym przesłaniem jest tutaj teza o uniwersalności języka matematyki. Autor zachęca czytelnika do zapoznania się z metodami taksonomicznymi wykazując ich zalety utylitarne.
Oscillation of Second-Order Neutral Differential Equations

Author's version of an article in the journal: Funkcialaj Ekvacioj. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.math.kobe-u.ac.jp/~fe/ We study oscillatory behavior of a class of second-order neutral differential equations relating oscillation of these equations to existence of positive solutions to associated first-order functional differential inequalities. Our assumptions allow applications to differential equations with both delayed and advanced arguments, and not only. New theorems complement and improve a number of results reported in the literature. Two illustrative examples are provided.

Tutkimuksemme on osa suomalaista VARJO-hanketta, jonka tarkoitus on kehittää palveluita eron jälkeisen vainon uhrien tueksi sekä ehkäisevään työhön ja kuntoutukseen liittyviä työmuotoja. Tutkimuksemme aineisto koostui naispuolisten vainon uhrien internetpohjaisen vertaisryhmän aikana käydyistä keskusteluista, joita tarkastelimme sisällönanalyysin avulla. Tutkimuksemme tarkoitus oli lisätä tietoisuutta vainon uhrien kokemuksista liittyen viranomaisten toimintaan ja tutkintaprosessiin sekä selviytymiskeinoista, jotka he kokivat hyödyllisiksi yrittäessään selviytyä eron jälkeisestä vainosta. Vaikka monikulttuuristen avioparien määrä on kasvussa niin Suomessa kuin muuallakin maailmassa, heitä on kielitieteissä tutkittu suhteellisen vähän. Monikulttuuriset, ja samalla usein monikieliset parit ovat ainutlaatuisessa asemassa identiteetin rakentumisen kannalta; monikulttuurisissa avioliitoissa elävät ihmiset elävät jatkuvasti kahden erilaisen kulttuurin ja kahden tai useamman kielen ympäröiminä. Mathematics Competence Level: The Contribution of Non-symbolic and Spatial Magnitude Comparison Skills.

Magnitude comparison skills have been related to mathematics competence, although results in this area vary. The current study aimed to describe the performance of 75 children (aged 4-5 years) in two comparison tasks; and examine the strength of the relationship between each of the two tasks and mathematics competence level (MCL). Participants were assessed with the Early Numeracy Test which provides a global MCL score. Magnitude comparison skills were assessed with two tasks: a non-symbolic number comparison task and a spatial comparison task. Toiselle kierrokselle päässeet ehdokkaat eivät olleet ne, keiden sinne alun perin povattiin pääsevän. Tästä syystä tämä tutkielman aiheena on kahden ranskalaisen sanomalehden, Le Monden ja Le Parisienin käyttämät nimitykset toisen kierroksen ehdokkaista, Emmanuel Macronista ja Marine Le Penistä vuoden 2017 presidentinvaaleissa. Abstract According to the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, 75% of endangered species should be preserved in ex situ collections till 2020. The genus Liparis has a lot of recognised taxons, but only one species, Liparis loeselii (L.) Rich., grows in Europe. L. loeselii is a rare and endangered orchid species occurring in Europe. In Latvia L. loeselii is classified as the third category of endangered and protected species.
