Record of 1.82 Ga Andean-type continental arc magmatism in NE Rajasthan, India: Insights from zircon and Sm–Nd ages, combined with Nd–Sr isotope geoc…
2009
Abstract We document a Palaeoproterozoic Andean-type continental arc granitoid emplacement event in the northwestern segment of the Aravalli mountain range, NW India. Our study is focused on the Jasrapur pluton which is dominated by monzogranites with a subordinate amount of granodiorite and quartz monzodiorite. These rocks carry typical continental arc geochemical signatures, such as high-K calc-alkaline, mildly peraluminous, I-type and magnesian features, as well as high Rb and low Nb, Y and Rb/Zr ratios, decoupling between LILE and HFSE, and negative Nb–Ta and Ti anomalies. Conventional geothermobarometric estimates suggest high temperature (~ 800 °C) and pressure (≥ 600 MPa) conditions …
A perioperative uncontrollable bleeding in an elderly patient with acquired hemophilia A: a case report
2013
Key Clinical Message Acquired hemophilia A should be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of perioperative bleeding in patients without any apparent reason for activated partial thromboplastin time prolongation.
Semisupervised kernel orthonormalized partial least squares
2012
This paper presents a semisupervised kernel orthonormalized partial least squares (SS-KOPLS) algorithm for non-linear feature extraction. The proposed method finds projections that minimize the least squares regression error in Hilbert spaces and incorporates the wealth of unlabeled information to deal with small size labeled datasets. The method relies on combining a standard RBF kernel using labeled information, and a generative kernel learned by clustering all available data. The positive definiteness of the kernels is proven, and the structure and information content of the derived kernels is studied. The effectiveness of the proposed method is successfully illustrated in standard UCI d…
PD recognition by means of statistical and fractal parameters and a neural network
2000
A novel partial discharge (PD) defect identification method is described. Starting with PD data on different families of specimens, a suitable set of parameters are determined and then used as input variables to a neural network for the purpose of identifying the defects within the insulation. In this procedure the statistical Weibull analysis is performed on PD pulse amplitude histograms to obtain the scale parameter /spl alpha/ and the shape parameter /spl beta/. Thereafter, the two statistical operators (skewness and kurtosis) and two fractal parameters (fractal dimension and lacunarity) are evaluated from the PD phase on the discharge epoch histogram and from the 3 dimensional (pulse am…
Podział wierzycieli na kategorie interesów w układzie częściowym
2018
Use of pH gradients in continuous-flow systems and multivariate regression techniques applied to the determination of methionine and cysteine in phar…
1997
Abstract The simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of methionine and cysteine in presence of cystine and other compounds in pharmaceuticals, using a multivariate calibration method, was studied. The method is based on the reaction between the analytes and the o- phthalaldehyde -N- acetyl - l - cysteine (OPA-NAC) reagent performed in a continuous-flow system (FI). The FI system allows the generation of a local pH gradient in order to produce spectral and/or kinetic changes in the UV-Vis spectra of the amino acid-OPA-NAC derivatives. This information is used to improve the prediction ability of the Partial Least-Squares (PLS) models. The performance of two FI assemblies, the selection…
Anatase photocatalyst with supported low crystalline TiO2: The influence of amorphous phase on the activity
2018
Abstract In a previous study on commercial TiO2 nanoparticles (J. Soria et al.) we had shown that the superficial disordered layers influence their textural and reactivity features. In the present work we used well crystallized anatase particles (commercial TiO2, BDH) as support of different amounts of titania powders, prepared by TiCl4 hydrolysis and constituted by nanocrystals diluted into an amorphous matrix. The reactivity of these photocatalysts has been tested for the selective oxidation of 4-methoxybenzyl alcohol to aldehyde in aqueous suspension. The catalyst characteristics have been studied using adsorption-desorption isotherms, TEM, HRTEM, TGA, PL, DRIFT-IR, and 1H MAS-NMR spectr…
Selective oxidation of aromatic alcohols in the presence of C3N4 photocatalysts derived from the polycondensation of melamine, cyanuric and barbituri…
2021
AbstractA set of C3N4 samples has been prepared by using melamine, cyanuric acid and barbituric acid as the precursors. The materials were subjected both to physical and chemical characterization and were used as photocatalysts for the selective oxidation of aromatic alcohols in water suspension under UV and visible irradiation. The photoactivity of the materials versus the partial oxidation of four substituted benzyl alcohols was investigated. The type and position of the substituents in the aromatic molecule influenced conversion and selectivity to the corresponding aldehyde. The presence of barbituric and cyanuric acids in the preparation method has changed the graphitic-C3N4 structure, …
Thermodynamic Properties of Sodium n-Alkanecarboxylates in Water and in Water + Cyclodextrins Mixtures
1998
Densities and heat capacities of water−substrate, water−cyclodextrin, and water−substrate−cyclodextrin systems were determined at 298 K. The substrates studied are sodium n-alkanecarboxylates (CnCOONa) (from sodium acetate to sodium decanoate) and the cyclodextrins are hydroxypropyl-α-cyclodextrin (HP-α-CD), hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, (HP-β-CD), hydroxypropyl-γ-cyclodextrin (HP-γ-CD) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD). The apparent molar volumes and heat capacities of CnCOONa in water were calculated as functions of concentration. The standard partial molar properties agree with those obtained by using the additivity rule. HP-β-CD essentially does not affect the thermodynamic properties of C1COON…
Über die Verbreitung von Flavonoiden bei pleurokarpen Laubmoosen I. Apigenin-7-rhamnoglucosid bei Hylocomium splendens (Hedw.) Br. eur.
1977
Summary 15 species of pleurocarpous mosses have been investigated as to their content of flavonoids. Flavonoid tests on 14 species have given negative results. Only one species, Hylocomium splendens , contains one flavonoid. It was purified by means of paper chromatography and is by chromatography and absorption spectrum identical with rhoifolin (apigenin-7-neohesperidoside). Partial acid hydrolysis yields apigenin-7-monoglucoside and rhamnose, quantitative hydrolysis apigenin, rhamnose and glucose. They were identified by comparison with authentic samples.
