This paper explores how one Title I middle school in California responds to high-stakes accountability during an era of educational reform, and how one first-generation Latino immigrant family comes to understand the school’s focus on test scores, high expectations, and academic achievement. Sport sponsorship in Finland: the case study of FC JJK Jyväskylä

This paper seeks to analyse sport sponsorship in Finland via using the case study of Football Club JJK Jyväskylä from the Finnish Premier League. The results of a master’s thesis conducted on FC JJK fans’ sponsor awareness and sponsor orientation is presented. This research has provided implications to the management of the club, such as how to increase sponsorship efficiency, how to benefit from applying sponsorship alignment as well as relationship marketing. In order to successfully implement the study, an online survey, interviews, and participant observation was utilised. In addition, statistical data were obtained from the club. Pieaugošā sociālā vajadzība noteikt darbinieku labklājību par prioritāti prasa pragmatisku veidu, kā panākt labāku demokrātiju darba vietā mūsdienu kapitāla uzkrāšanas laikmeta robežās. Pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt priekšlikumus demokrātijas uzlabošanai darba vietā, izmantojot teledarba politiku. Rezultāts ir priekšlikumu kopums, kuru mērķis ir uzlabot demokrātiju darba vietā, izmantojot atbilstošu tāldarba politiku, vienlaikus uzlabojot darbinieku labklājību. Procesā netika atrasta statistiski nozīmīga saikne starp subjektīvo autonomiju, atbildību un sniegumu. Tālāk autore izstrādāja provizorisku teorētisku ietvaru, kurā darba demokrātija ir apvienota ar tāldarbu.
Judo as a tool for social integration in adolescents at risk of social exclusion: A pilot study

Purpose: Social policies of the advanced countries have begun to incorporate sport to speak on manifestations of social exclusion, as tool to reach out to young people, strengthen their identity or enhance self-esteem vulnerable groups.
