Precise determination of the branching ratio of the neutral-pion Dalitz decay

We provide a new value for the ratio $R={\Gamma(\pi^0\to e^+e^-\gamma(\gamma))}/{\Gamma(\pi^0\to\gamma\gamma)}=11.978(6)\times10^{-3}$, which is by two orders of magnitude more precise than the current Particle Data Group average. It is obtained using the complete set of the next-to-leading-order radiative corrections in the QED sector, and incorporates up-to-date values of the $\pi^0$-transition-form-factor slope. The ratio $R$ translates into the branching ratios of the two main $\pi^0$ decay modes: $\mathcal{B}(\pi^0\to\gamma\gamma)=98.8131(6)\,\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(\pi^0\to e^+e^-\gamma(\gamma))=1.1836(6)\,\%$.
Spin, parity and nature of the Xi(1620) resonance

Using a unitary extension of chiral perturbation theory with a lowest-order s -wave SU(3) chiral Lagrangian we study low-energy meson-baryon scattering in the strangeness S = − 2 sector. A scattering-matrix pole is found around 1605 MeV which corresponds to an s -wave Ξ resonance with J P = 1 / 2 − . We identify this resonance with the Ξ ( 1620 ) state, quoted by the Particle Data Group with I = 1 / 2 but with unknown spin and parity. The addition of the S = − 2 state to the recently computed Λ ( 1670 ) , Σ ( 1620 ) , and N ( 1535 ) states completes the octet of J P = 1 / 2 − resonances dynamically generated in this chiral unitary approach.
Measurement of the D*(2010)+−D+ Mass Difference

We measure the mass difference, Δm_{+}, between the D^{*}(2010)^{+} and the D^{+} using the decay chain D^{*}(2010)^{+}→D^{+}π^{0} with D^{+}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{+}. The data were recorded with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies at and near the ϒ(4S) resonance, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 468 fb^{-1}. We measure Δm_{+}=(140 601.0±6.8[stat]±12.9[syst]) keV. We combine this result with a previous BABAR measurement of Δm_{0}≡m(D^{*}(2010)^{+})-m(D^{0}) to obtain Δm_{D}=m(D^{+})-m(D^{0})=(4824.9±6.8[stat]±12.9[syst]) keV. These results are compatible with and approximately five times more precise than the Particle Data Group averages.
Temperature dependence of η/s : uncertainties from the equation of state

We perform a global model-to-data comparison on Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV and Pb+Pb collisions at $2.76$ TeV and $5.02$ TeV, using a 2+1D hydrodynamics model with the EKRT initial state and a shear viscosity over entropy density ratio $(\eta/s)(T)$ with a linear $T$ dependence. To quantify the amount of uncertainty due to the choice of the equation of state (EoS), we compare analysis results based on four different EoSs: the well known $s95p$ parametrisation, an updated parametrisation based on the same list of particles in hadron resonance gas, but using recent lattice results for the partonic part of the EoS, and two new parametrisations based on the Particle Data Group …
Study of the D*ρ system using QCD sum rules

In this talk I present a study of the $D^* \rho$ system made by using the method of QCD sum rules. Considering isospin and spin projectors, we investigate the different configurations and obtain three $D^*$ mesons with isospin $I=1/2$, spin $S=0$, $1$, $2$ and with masses $2500\pm 67$ MeV, $2523\pm60$ MeV, and $2439\pm119$ MeV, respectively. The last state can be related to $D^*_2(2460)$ (spin 2) listed by the Particle Data Group, while one of the first two might be associated with $D^*(2640)$, whose spin-parity is unknown. In the case of $I=3/2$ we also find evidences of three states with spin 0, 1 and 2, respectively, with masses $2467\pm82$ MeV, $2420\pm128$ MeV, and $2550\pm56$ MeV.

In his Comment, D. Bugg argues against our usage of the PDG collection of light non-strange states together with the half-width rule to analyze the linearity of radial and angular-moment Regge trajectories in the large-N_c limit. After taking into account his observations on our choice of data, the radial Regge trajectories are again analyzed. We still find that our conclusion on the lack of universality between radial- and angular-momentum Regge trajectories is valid.
Classifying Reported and "Missing" Resonances According to Their P and C Properties

The Hilbert space ℋ3q of the three quarks with one excited quark is decomposed into Lorentz group representations. It is shown that the quantum numbers of the reported and "missing" resonances fall apart and populate distinct representations that differ by their parity or/and charge conjugation properties. In this way, reported and "missing" resonances become distinguishable. For example, resonances from the full listing reported by the Particle Data Group are accommodated by Rarita–Schwinger (RS) type representations [Formula: see text] with k=1, 3, and 5, the highest spin states being J=3/2-, 7/2+, and 11/2+, respectively. This article presents the first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B(Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c) mu(-) (nu) over bar (mu))/B(Lambda(0)(b) -> Lambda(+)(c) pi(-)). Measurements in two control samples using the same technique B((B) over bar (0) -> D+ mu(-) (nu) over bar (mu))/B((B) over bar (0) -> D+ pi(-)) and B((B) over bar (0) -> D*(2010)(+) mu(-) (nu) over bar (mu))/B((B) over bar (0) -> D*(2010)(+) pi(-)) are also reported. The analysis uses data from an integrated luminosity of approximately 172 pb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions at root s = 1: 96 TeV, collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. We reevaluate the $B\to\rho\,l^+\nu_l$ decay width as a full $B\to\pi\pi\,l^+\nu_l$ four-particle decay, in which the two final pions are produced via an intermediate $\rho$ meson. The decay width can be written as a convolution of the $B\to\rho\,l^+\nu_l$ decay width, for an off-shell $\rho$, with the $\rho\to\pi\pi$ line shape. This allows to fully incorporate the effects of the finite $\rho$ meson width. As shown, consideration of the $\rho$ meson width effects increase the $|V_{ub}|$ value by some 8%, rendering it in better agreement with the determination based in the $B\to\pi$ decay.
