Search for weakly decaying b -flavored pentaquarks

Investigations of the existence of pentaquark states containing a single $b$ (anti)quark decaying weakly into four specific final states J/$\psi K^+\pi^- p$, J/$\psi K^- \pi^- p$, J/$\psi K^- \pi^+ p$, and $J/\psi \phi (1020) p$ are reported. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3.0/fb in 7 and 8 TeV pp collisions acquired with the LHCb detector. Signals are not observed and upper limits are set on the product of the production cross section times branching fraction with respect to that of the $\Lambda_b$.

Data and code for "Dipolar coupling of nanoparticle-molecule assemblies: An efficient approach for studying strong coupling"

The data includes the optical excitations of benzene, the optical spectra of coupled benzene-Al NP systems, and fits of the spectra to the coupled oscillator model. The optical spectra in question have been obtained in the dipolar coupling approximation and analyzed in the article "Dipolar coupling of nanoparticle-molecule assemblies: An efficient approach for studying strong coupling" by Jakub Fojt, Tuomas P. Rossi, Tomasz J. Antosiewicz, Mikael Kuisma and Paul Erhart. Search for intermediate mass black hole binaries in the first and second observing runs of the Advanced LIGO and Virgo network

Gravitational wave astronomy has been firmly established with the detection of gravitational waves from the merger of ten stellar mass binary black holes and a neutron star binary. This paper reports on the all-sky search for gravitational waves from intermediate mass black hole binaries in the first and second observing runs of the Advanced LIGO and Virgo network. The search uses three independent algorithms: two based on matched filtering of the data with waveform templates of gravitational wave signals from compact binaries, and a third, model-independent algorithm that employs no signal model for the incoming signal. All-sky search in early O3 LIGO data for continuous gravitational-wave signals from unknown neutron stars in binary systems

Rapidly spinning neutron stars are promising sources of continuous gravitational waves. Detecting such a signal would allow probing of the physical properties of matter under extreme conditions. A significant fraction of the known pulsar population belongs to binary systems. Searching for unknown neutron stars in binary systems requires specialized algorithms to address unknown orbital frequency modulations. Influence of bacterial physiology on processing of selenite, biogenesis of nanomaterials and their thermodynamic stability

We explored how Ochrobactrum sp. MPV1 can convert up to 2.5 mM selenite within 120 h, surviving the challenge posed by high oxyanion concentrations. The data show that thiol-based biotic chemical reaction(s) occur upon bacterial exposure to low selenite concentrations, whereas enzymatic systems account for oxyanion removal when 2 mM oxyanion is exceeded. The selenite bioprocessing produces selenium nanomaterials, whose size and morphology depend on the bacterial physiology. Selenium nanoparticles were always produced by MPV1 cells, featuring an average diameter ranging between 90 and 140 nm, which we conclude constitutes the thermodynamic stability range for these nanostructures. The aim of this study is to prepare a liposomal delivery system for 5-methyl-12 (H)-quino[3,4-b]-1,4-benzothiazine chloride (5-MBT) and study the in vitro release characteristics. The release of 5-MBT from a liposomal complex with human serum albumin (HSA) [LDPPC/5-MBT]:HSA was examined using the spectrophotometric method and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
