Alcohol Abuse Mediates the Association between Baseline T/C Ratio and Anger Expression in Intimate Partner Violence Perpetrators.

The imbalance between testosterone (T) and cortisol (C) levels has been proposed as a possible marker of risk for intimate partner violence (IPV). Moreover, it could be related to a high probability of adopting risky behaviors such as alcohol abuse which, in turn, promotes the onset of IPV. This study tested the potential mediating effect of alcohol consumption on the relationship between baseline T/C ratio and anger expression in IPV perpetrators and non-violent controls. Alcohol consumption was higher in the former than controls. Any modern state is unthinkable without an efficient taxation, without a fiscal field which is perceived as a stimulating factor in the development of the nation. Taking into account that fiscal science has always had a negative perception among taxpayers, through this article we present some aspects of management methods and management techniques that can give essential elements for improving taxation. Using management as art, science and state of mind can strengthen the role that taxation plays in the regulation of economic mechanisms.

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir iepazīties ar teorētisko literatūru par vardarbību partnerattiecībās un identificēt tās saistību ar kaunu un pašcieņu. Pētījuma jautājumi: Kāda saistība pastāv starp kauna izjūtu un vardarbības pieredzi partnerattiecībās? Kādas ir atšķirības starp pašcieņu un kauna rādītājiem, respondentiem, kuri ir vai nav cietuši no vardarbības? Pētījuma dalībnieki: Pētījumā piedalījās 119 cilvēks, no kuriem 98 bija sievietes, bet 19 – vīrieši (procentuāli 84% sieviešu un 16% vīriešu). This article reports a qualitative study of cognitive assessments of three teenagers with sensory and multiple disabilities, including moderate to profound developmental disability. The aim was to evaluate the possibilities for adapting standardized tests and the implementation of interactional partnership in assessment. Cognitive assessments were made with an individually-adapted psychological assessment tool, the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development. Pro gradu -tutkielmassani tarkastelen suomalaisten ja intialaisten kehitysyhteistyöjärjestöjen yhteisen kehitysyhteistyöhankkeen ympärille muodostunutta yhteistyötä eli kumppanuutta. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on ymmärtää kumppanuuden muodostumiseen, ylläpitoon ja lopettamiseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tutkimuksessa tuodaan esille suomalaisten vapaaehtoisten kertomuksia, kokemuksia ja havaintoja muun muassa uuden kumppanijärjestön valintakriteereistä, järjestöjen välisestä työnjaosta, hankesyklin eri vaiheissa kohdatuista haasteista sekä vastuuvelvollisuuden ja luotettavuuden merkityksestä kumppanuudessa.
