Spanish‐Moroccan Economic Relations
1997
The prospects for an effective Euro‐Mediterranean Partnership depend in part on some key bilateral relationships, one of which is the subject of this study. Spanish‐Moroccan relations constitute an important example of North‐South relations in the Mediterranean, although naturally some of their features are specific to the countries involved. While economic relations between Spain and Morocco are competitive in certain areas, the broader picture is of complementary interests which are likely to grow as the development of these countries intensifies. A programme of economic reform since the 1980s has prepared Morocco for greater development cooperation with Spain and the EU, but the economy …
La relazione educativa “affettiva”: ripensare il rapporto tra scuola e famiglia
2018
Educational co-planning and co-responsibility between school and family have been a subject of pedagogical consideration for several years. The literature identifies critical points in the construction of educational partnerships between them because of transformations occurred both in family and in school: they seem to have missed their clear symbolic value. Once, the roles of the adults (teacher or parent) were more important than the persons who actually embodied them; now, instead, we observe a loss in the symbolic value of generational gap and this has implied a change in the educational relationship. It is a shift from an educational style mainly based on authority and norms to one ba…
Exploring the role of the sharing economy in disasters management
2020
Abstract Improvements in information and communications technologies (ICTs) have facilitated the inclusion of the sharing economy (SE) in societies more than ever. In the aftermath of recent disasters, the SE played significant roles to help the affected people and support official responders. However, the literature has not effectively explored these roles, and thus, no framework can support the systematic inclusion of the SE in disasters management. This paper aims to address the gap through a two-stage exploratory research approach. First, we conduct a systematic literature review to identify the extent to which the SE is taken into consideration in disasters. After that, we investigate …
When industry and academia meet: the development of a robotized semiautomatic motorcycle transmission
2017
Abstract The development of the business - industry environment is unconceivable without the involvement of academia. On one hand, the universities can provide new perspectives and know-how which can be further translated into exquisite products and services for companies. This paper presents a successful partnership between business and academia materialized in the development of a robotized semiautomatic motorcycle transmission. Since the solutions existing on the market did not meet the specific requirem…

Eiropas Savienības un Kazahstānas divpusējās attiecības: svarīgāko motīvu pārskatīšana
2019

2007
PurposeTo provide empirical evidence on the level of savings that can be attained by joint route planning and how these savings depend on specific market characteristics.Design/methodology/approachJoint route planning is a measure that companies can take to decrease the costs of their distribution activities. Eurosceptic Attitudes Towards the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership: Who are the Trendsetters and Followers?
2020
Since the Hooghe et al.(2002) publication about party positions on European integration, a comparison of radical right and radical left Eurosceptic parties is not often conducted. In literature about Euroscepticism, the image of the horseshoe or “inverted U” illustrates the orientation of Euroscepticism among parties without any deeper analysis. This paper tries fill the research gap by investigating whether these two Eurosceptic groups are distinct from each other in the area of EU trade policy by analyzing the debate surrounding the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Using European Parliament debates about this EU-US partnership, the author tries give answers to the fo…
