Pieaugošā līgumsoda institūta turpmākā attīstība Civillikumā

2016

Bakalaura darbā analizēts Latvijas Republikas Civillikuma regulējums, attiecībā uz pieaugoša līgumsoda apmēra ierobežojumu līdz 10% no pamatparāda vai galvenās saistības apmēra, šī regulējuma faktiskā darbība un pielietojums praksē. Temats “Pieaugoša līgumsoda institūta turpmākā attīstība Civillikumā” izvēlēts sakarā ar asi kritizēto tiesu praksi, kas noveda pie Civillikuma grozījumiem 2014.gada 1.janvārī. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir rast jaunu pieaugoša līgumsoda regulējumu, sakarā ar šī brīža regulējuma nespēju darboties praksē atbilstoši darījuma pušu prasībām. Izvirzītā mērķa sasniegšanai analizēts gan šī brīža, gan vēsturiskais normatīvais regulējums Latvijā, analizēta tiesu prakse un pē…

Galvojuma tiesiskais spēks

2015

Lai īstenotu savas ieceres, bieži rodas nepieciešamība aizņemties līdzekļus no drauga vai kredītiestādes, taču ne vienmēr aizdevuma ņēmējs var garantēt, ka aizņemto laicīgi atmaksās, neradot kreditoram zaudējumus. Lai nodrošinātu, ka saistība tiks pienācīgā kārtā izpildīta, Latvijas Republikas Civillikumā likumdevējs paredzējis četrus saistību pastiprināšanas līdzekļus – galvojums, līgumsods, rokasnauda, ķīla. Darba ietvaros tiek apskatīts tikai viens no saistību pastiprināšanas veidiem – galvojumu.

Towards a framework for assessment and management of cumulative human impacts on marine food webs

2015

Effective ecosystem-based management requires understanding ecosystem responses to multiple human threats, rather than focusing on single threats. To understand ecosystem responses to anthropogenic threats holistically, it is necessary to know how threats affect different components within ecosystems and ultimately alter ecosystem functioning. We used a case study of a Mediterranean seagrass (Posidonia oceanica) food web and expert knowledge elicitation in an application of the initial steps of a framework for assessment of cumulative human impacts on food webs. We produced a conceptual seagrass food web model, determined the main trophic relationships, identified the main threats to the fo…

Habit and physical activity: Theoretical advances, practical implications, and agenda for future research

2019

Abstract Objective Understanding habits may inform intervention development aimed at promoting physical activity maintenance for long-term health. In the present article, I review theory and research on habits applied to physical activity. I provide an overview of contemporary conceptualizations of habit and habit theory; address whether or not physical activity can be habitual; review perspectives on how physical activity habits develop; summarize research on effects of physical activity habits; identify intervention strategies effective in promoting physical activity habits; and propose an agenda for future research on physical activity habits. Design and Methods Conceptual and narrative …

The effects of grazing history, soil properties and stand structure on the communities of saprotrophic fungi in wood-pastures

2022

Wood-pastures are threatened anthropogenic biotopes that provide habitat for an extensive group of species. Here we studied the effect of management, grazing intensity, time since abandonment, historical land-use intensity, soil properties and stand conditions on communities of saprotrophic fungi in wood-pastures in Central Finland. We found that the proportion of broadleaved trees and soil pH are the major drivers in the communities of saprotrophic fungi in these boreal wood-pastures. In addition, tree species richness, soil moisture, historical land-use intensity and time since abandonment affected the communities of saprotrophic fungi. Current management or grazing intensity did not have…

Cassate, cannoli e altri miti

2020

On the one hand, there are the traditional Sicilian sweets, with their composition, shape and taste; on the other hand, there are the times and the spaces in which they are consumed, but also those in which they are prepared. For each of these aspects, which are not of a linguistic nature, there are multiple discourses that take them as their object, articulating their meaning. The objective of this essay is to put all these heterogeneous sources into dialogue in an attempt to identify the structures they have in common. This research does not aim to establish the origin of the Sicilians' interest in sweets, but rather the way in which in this island, crossroads of many peoples, a system ha…

Over - And Understatements In Bishop Czaja’s Pastoral Letter To His Diocesans

2020

The Catholic Church is the largest religious faction in Poland, the country being organisationally divided into church dioceses governed by bishops. The letter by the bishop of Opole, Andrzej Czaja may be read in more than one way. One of them is the bona fide (i.e., good faith) one, the reading which assumes his sincerity, presumably the one that had been intended by the author for his diocesans to use. The other is less cooperative and sees some cases of over- and understatements in the text. This can be linguistically studied using the pragmatic theories of H.P. Grice and G.N. Leech. The present paper addresses both these readings as they fit into a global picture. Every lay person is to…
