Tackling the question of the presence of song in Aragon’s novels may seem paradoxical or unimportant, if one were to limit their analysis to the numerous poems by Aragon to be put into music by contemporary singers – or today’s composers. Musical adaptations of his texts deal with an era of his production which begins in the 1930s, when Aragon advocates for song, particularly with the creation of the Maison de la Culture – and also a moment when he becomes a novelist. The analysis of some textual phenomena, in parallel with the references to songs in his novels, should allow us to grasp the kind of poetic realism at work in Aragon’s productions.

In this paper, we propose a robust and lightweight multi-resolution method for vehicle detection using local binary patterns (LBP) as channel feature. Algorithm acceleration is done using LBP histograms instead of multi-scale feature maps and by extrapolating nearby scales to avoid computing each scale. National audience; Cette Communication porte sur une étude numérique visant à montrer les conditions d'existence du phénomène de supratransmission dans un milieu gouverné par l'équation de sine-gordon à couplage mixte: le couplage linéaire pur étant associé à un couplage non linéaire. Nous montrons également l'effet de la variation du coefficient du couplage non linéaire sur l'amplitude de seuil du signal excitateur nécessaire pour déclencher le phénomène de supratransmission dans le milieu, en maintenant constant le coefficient du couplage linéaire pur.

A Robust Multi Stage Technique for Image Binarization of Degraded Historical Documents

International audience; Document image binarization is a central problem in many document analysis systems. Indeed, it represents one of the basic challenges, especially in case of historical documents analysis. In this paper, we propose a novel robust multi stage framework that combines different existing document image thresholding methods for the purpose of getting a better binarization result.
