Stability of hexaquarks in the string limit of confinement

The stability of systems containing six quarks or antiquarks is studied within a simple string model inspired by the strong-coupling regime of quantum chromodynamics and used previously for tetraquarks and pentaquarks. We discuss both six-quark $(q^6)$ and three-quark--three-antiquark $ (q^3\bar q{}^3)$ states. The quarks are assumed to be distinguishable and thus not submitted to antisymmetrization. It is found that the ground state of $(q^6)$ is stable against dissociation into two isolated baryons. Inclusive search for same-sign dilepton signatures in pp collisions at $ sqrt {s} = 7 $ TeV with the ATLAS detector

An inclusive search is presented for new physics in events with two isolated leptons (e or mu) having the same electric charge. The data are selected from events collected from p p collisions at root s = 7 TeV by the ATLAS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 34 pb(-1). The spectra in dilepton invariant mass, missing transverse momentum and jet multiplicity are presented and compared to Standard Model predictions. In this event sample, no evidence is found for contributions beyond those of the Standard Model. International audience; Blumenberg’s phenomenology of the history of concepts couldn’t overlook Kantian inventions to escape the dead ends of metaphysics. Kant constitutes a decisive help in mapping the ruptures of Modern Age. On the one hand, the cosmogonical essays of the precritical period illustrate reason’s typically modern self-assertion. On the other hand, the transcendental turn stands for a radicalization of Modern Age towards the Enlightenment. But Blumenberg also pays attention to what, in Kant, disturbs the modern project of reason’s self-authorization. Transcendental philosophy always calls for a new beginning, because it anticipates its possible failure.
Structure of eigenvectors of random regular digraphs

Let $d$ and $n$ be integers satisfying $C\leq d\leq \exp(c\sqrt{\ln n})$ for some universal constants $c, C>0$, and let $z\in \mathbb{C}$. Denote by $M$ the adjacency matrix of a random $d$-regular directed graph on $n$ vertices. In this paper, we study the structure of the kernel of submatrices of $M-z\,{\rm Id}$, formed by removing a subset of rows. We show that with large probability the kernel consists of two non-intersecting types of vectors, which we call very steep and gradual with many levels. Homogeneous actions on the random graph

We show that any free product of two countable groups, one of them being infinite, admits a faithful and homogeneous action on the Random Graph. We also show that a large class of HNN extensions or free products, amalgamated over a finite group, admit such an action and we extend our results to groups acting on trees. Finally, we show the ubiquity of finitely generated free dense subgroups of the automorphism group of the Random Graph whose action on it have all orbits infinite.

Research in the field of developmental psycho-criminology shows that conduct disorders and deviant behaviours are frequently associated with traumatic and adverse developmental experiences. Personality traits and psychopathological symptoms also increase the risk of criminality. However, the role of psychopathological symptoms in the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and offending has rarely been researched. The present study was designed to throw further light on these issues by analysing risk factors in a group of adolescents and young adults in a juvenile detention centre in southern Italy. We describe a mathematical language for determining all possible patterns of contextuality in the dependence of stochastic outputs of a system on its deterministic inputs. The central principle contextuality-by-default is that the outputs indexed by mutually incompatible values of inputs are stochastically unrelated; but they can be coupled imposed a joint distribution on in a variety of ways. A system is characterized by a pattern of which outputs can be "directly influenced" by which inputs a primitive relation, hypothetical or normative, and by certain constraints imposed on the outputs such as Bell-type inequalities or their quantum analogues.
