In this article, it is studied the market of land lease in the Valentian rural society in the end of the Middle Age. Using notarial sources and court rolls, it is possible to know the economic function that exercised this forms of land management in the agrarian system. The penetration of urban capital through this kind of contracts was always limited. Pro gradussa tarkastellaan jalometallialan koulutuksen kehittymistä Kuopiossa vuosien 1977−2009 välisenä aikana. Työssä selvitetään, miten koulutus on muuttunut ja miksi alan koulutusta alettiin opettaa Kuopiossa. Viimeisenä pohditaan elinikäisen oppimisen merkitystä kyseisellä alalla, joka oletettavasti liittyy läheisesti käsityöläisyyteen. Tutkimuksen lähteinä on käytetty Kuopion Muotoiluakatemian arkistomateriaaleja kuten toimintakertomuksia sekä opinto-oppaita. Näistä on selvitetty, mitä opiskelijoiden oli tarkoitus oppia.
