1994
En aquest treball es revisen tres inscripcions de Xèrica (Alt Palància) de les quals l'humanista Pere Joan Nunyes és el primer testimoni. In this paper are reviewed three inscriptions from Jérica (Alto Palancia) of which the humanist Pedro Juan Nuñez offers the first testimony.
Valores del mar en la obra de Pedro Ferrer Calatayud
2010
This paper seeks to offer an interpretation of the seascape work of Valencian painter Pedro Ferrer Calatayud (1860-1944). Starting from his artistic context, two essential values of the seascape aesthetics can be found in Ferrer's paintings: firstly depth, which is linked to the abyss and represented by the shipwreck, and then temporality, linked to eternity and the cyclical time and rendered through the relationship of the sea with other elements in nature. Our analysis proves that the sea in this painter, far from being merely a subject, was also a means of searching new ideological values and technical ways which would eventually lead to fresh artistic trends in the early 20th century.
