Abstract Beyond the financial performance assessed on the basis of profit and loss account, evaluating a company is made from the perspective of its ability to cope with due debts. A situation that was often encountered by companies listed on the BSE was insolvency, currently affecting six companies, while other have emerged from this process, being traded since November 2013. Considering the companies listed on BSE among the best performing, in this paper, which is part of a larger study, has been analyzed the ability of companies to meet medium and long term maturities, particularly from their own resources, and the way the financial crisis affected it.

Abstract The Romanian banking system has undergone through tremendous changes in the last decade, its financial soundness and performance being paramount in the achievement of a stable and sustainable economic growth. Thus, the aim of our research is to comparatively analyse the financial soundness of the commercial banks that operate in Romania. Operational and financial effectiveness of e-collaboration tools in supply chain integration

This paper develops a comprehensive model of supply chain integration and uses it to analyze and assess the operational and financial effectiveness of different e-collaboration tools at various levels of supply chain integration. This model is also used to evaluate the importance of the sequence in which e-collaboration tools are adopted in supply chain integration. Computational results from a validated system dynamics simulation model with different implementation sequences of e-collaboration tools and different financial scenarios show that local financial constraints can also severely impact operational and financial performance of the entire supply chain. Analysing the relationships between elements of an enterprise's financial statements, especially between elements from the balance sheet and those from the profit and loss account, the rates of return adds greater utility to the consumers of financial information, offering the possibility to make comparisons over time and space as well as to make reference to internal and external rates. Considering the companies listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange among the best performing, due to the high requirements imposed by a stock market, in this paper has been analyzed the way the financial crisis affected the financial performance in Mining and Quarrying Domain.

In this study, we address the effect of innovation strategy and an innovative working climate on financial performance in the Norwegian wood industry. Innovation strategy embodies four dimensions: the degrees to which innovation in the form of products, processes, and business systems are embedded in the management values and priorities as well as the degree of expenditure in R&D.
