The European Commission has recently identified cultural heritage as a focus area for EU cultural diplomacy. The article explores EU cultural diplomacy that deals with cultural heritage and develops the concept of heritage diplomacy based on a critical discourse analysis of interviews with EU officials and heritage practitioners working at sites awarded with the European Heritage Label. The research Cultural Heritage in Social Media: Museum of Photography deals with a new form of displaying and preserving cultural heritage in the 21st century by using social media tools. This paper is an analysis of a Romanian cultural heritage blog, Museum of Photography, which contains documentary photography from the end of the 19th century until 1990’s as well as other types of photographs related to the interests’ of Alex Galmeanu – the owner of Museum of Photography. Tarkastelen tutkielmassani Turun Kakskerrassa sijaitsevan Brinkhallin kartanon kulttuuriympäristökasvatustoiminnan kehittämistä. Tutkimustehtäväni on selvittää miten kävijät kokevat Brinkhallin kartanon ja miten kartanon toimintaa voitaisiin kehittää paremmin vastaamaan yleisön odotuksia. Olen aloittanut tutkimuksen ollessani korkeakouluharjoittelijana Brinkhallin kartanossa kesällä 2008. Harjoittelijana laadin kävijäkyselyn kartanoon, jossa tiedusteltiin kävijöiden kokemuksia kartanon alueesta kulttuuriperintökohteena. Kävijäkyselyn analyysissä käytän hermeneuttis-fenomenografista tutkimusotetta. Esteettisen kokemisen teoriat toimivat teoreettisena viitekehyksenä ja ohjaavat analyysiä. Val…
