Conical connection adjustment in prosthetic abutments obtained by different techniques

2019

Background The goal of this study is to compare the misfit (>150µm) generated once the restoration, made by different techniques, is retained to a single conical implant. Material and methods 15 internal connection implants (MIS C1 4'20x10mm) are embedded each one perpendicularly to an horizontal surface of the 1x1x2cm poliuretan resin model. The 15 samples obtained are divided in 5 groups depending on the framework process (n=3): 1/casting, 2/overcasting, 3/Ti-base, 4/milling and 5/laser sintering. The cobalt-chromium alloy frameworks are screw-retained to their respective implants to a 30-Ncm torque. Once it is retained the framework to the implant, the next step is to section the sample …

Palaeomagnetic results from the late Precambrian Chela Group of southwest Angola

1992

Abstract Palaeomagnetic results from fourteen sites (56 samples) in the late Precambrian Chela Group of southwest Angola are reported. After alternating field demagnetization eight of the sites have mean directions closely grouped around D = 123°, I = −44 1 2 ° ; the dispersion of these directions increases substantially after tectonic corrections suggesting magnetic overprinting. Intensive thermal demagnetization proved more effective than alternating field demagnetization in resolving magnetic components. After removal of viscous components, samples from five sites (Group I) show a single component, similar to that observed after alternating field demagnetization. At four more sites (Grou…

Unprecedented layered coordination polymers of dithiolene group 10 metals: Magnetic and electrical properties

2016

One-pot reactions between Ni(ii), Pd(ii) or Pt(ii) salts and 3,6-dichloro-1,2-benzenedithiol (HSC6H2Cl2SH) in KOH medium under argon lead to a series of bis-dithiolene coordination polymers. X-ray analysis shows the presence of a common square planar complex [M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]2- linked to potassium cations forming either a two-dimensional coordination polymer network for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(μ-thf)(thf)2][M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n [M = Ni (1) and Pd (2)] or a one-dimensional coordination polymer for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(thf)6][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (3). In 3 the coordination environment of the potassium ions may slightly change leading to the two-dimensional coordination polymer {[K2(μ-H2O)(μ-thf)2][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (4) …

2,4,6-Trimethyl-N-nitroaniline

2007

In 2,4,6-trimethyl-N-nitroaniline (alternatively called mesitylnitramine), C9H12N2O2, the primary nitramino group is planar with a short N—N bond and is nearly perpendicular to the aromatic ring. The methyl group located in the para position is disordered, each H atom having half-occupancy. The molecules are linked together along the [100] axis by intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Evaluation of Iodate Status in a Group of Children with Stature Delay from Sibiu County

2019

Abstract Iodine deficiency in childhood can influence the mental and somatic growth and development of children by decreasing the thyroid hormone production. Iodine deficiency can be quantified by testing ioduria concentration. Our study has analyzed ioduria concentration of children detected with stature delay, coming from two distinct regions of Sibiu County, namely Gura Rîului, a known endemic area, and Şeica Mare, a lowland region. Approximately 60% of these children with iodine deficiency were detected in both regions, but a much lower average of ioduria was identified in the endemic area, where 23% of children presented severe iodine deficiency. The results are related to those publis…

Production of dianionic and trianionic noble metal clusters in a Penning trap

2003

Abstract Metal clusters, Aun−, Agn−, and Cun−, from a laser vaporization source are transferred to a Penning trap and subjected to a bath of simultaneously stored electrons. After some reaction period multiply charged anionic gold, silver, and copper clusters are observed if the clusters under investigation are large enough. The cluster sizes for the onset of the formation of dianions and trianions are compared to a charged sphere model. The description of the experimental findings is largely improved if the repulsive Coulomb barrier is taken into account which prevents autodetachment of the surplus electrons on the experimental time scale of a second.

Analytical study by SEM/EDX and metallographic techniques of materials used in the iron production process during the iberian period

2002

Abstract This work is the archaeometric study of different types of materials used in iron production in the Iberian Period (6th–2nd century b.c.). The materials were recovered in several archaeological digs (which makes it possible to date the archaeological remains) on different sites in the Levante area of the Iberian Peninsula. The samples selected for this study belong to different materials used in the ancient iron production process such as ores, slags, finished objects, etc. The use of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is proposed to observe surface images of the samples to determine their morphological, microstructural and topographic characteristics to obtain valuable information…

Eventually periodic solutions of single neuron model

2020

In this paper, we consider a nonautonomous piecewise linear difference equation that describes a discrete version of a single neuron model with a periodic (period two and period three) internal decay rate. We investigated the periodic behavior of solutions relative to the periodic internal decay rate in our previous papers. Our goal is to prove that this model contains a large quantity of initial conditions that generate eventually periodic solutions. We will show that only periodic solutions and eventually periodic solutions exist in several cases.

Molecular Classification of Pesticides Including Persistent Organic Pollutants, Phenylurea and Sulphonylurea Herbicides

2014

Pesticide residues in wine were analyzed by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. Retentions are modelled by structure–property relationships. Bioplastic evolution is an evolutionary perspective conjugating effect of acquired characters and evolutionary indeterminacy–morphological determination–natural selection principles; its application to design co-ordination index barely improves correlations. Fractal dimensions and partition coefficient differentiate pesticides. Classification algorithms are based on information entropy and its production. Pesticides allow a structural classification by nonplanarity, and number of O, S, N and Cl atoms and cycles; different behaviours depend …

Kritische Bemerkungen zur Entwicklung des Sapienstypus

1953

The earliest hominid predecessors as yet known, the Australopithecines, show that the branch leading to man was separated from the group of the anthropoids as early as the Tertiary. The Australopithecines as a group show great variability. The group contains in its genetic make-up all the characteristics of the representatives of the later stages. The presence of the primitive forms of many human characteristics has led us to include in the human line of evolution only those types which have remained primitively human (Australopithecus, Steinheim, Swanscombe, Fontechevade, Piltdown).Pithecanthropus and Neanderthals are not to be considered as stages of a higher evolution but as sidebranches…
