Secure and sustainable but not as prominent among the ambivalent: Attachment style and proenvironmental consumption

Abstract Human activity has degraded the environment and contributed to numerous public health hazards. Thus, the United Nations recently made an urgent call to develop sustainable consumption practices. Although existing literature has acknowledged attachment style as a potential predictor of certain consumption responses, its influence on proenvironmental consumption has not yet been examined. This article provides an overview of the recently proposed forward model approximation framework for learning games of the general video game artificial intelligence (GVGAI) framework. In contrast to other general game-playing algorithms, the proposed agent model does not need a full description of the game but can learn the game's rules by observing game state transitions. Based on hierarchical knowledge bases, the forward model can be learned and revised during game-play, improving the accuracy of the agent's state predictions over time. This study assessed the relationship between students’ growth goals and perceived opportunities to achieve these goals in Latvia and the perceived support from the university and the mesosystem. Grounded in self-determination theory (SDT), this cross-sectional study tested relations of students’ perceptions of autonomy-supportive and controlling behaviour from teachers in physical education with students’ health-related quality of life (HRQoL), and the potential role of students’ perceived need satisfaction and need frustration as a mediator of these relationships. Modelling and numerical simulation of crystal growth processes have been shown to be powerful tools in order to understand the physical effects of different parameters on the growth conditions. In this study a finite difference/control volume technique for the study of heat transfer has been employed. This model takes into account the whole system: furnace temperature profile, air gap between furnace walls and ampoule, ampoule geometry, crucible coating if any, solid and liquid CdTe thermal properties, conduction, convection and radiation of heat and phase change.
