Timing of Heparin Addition to the Biomolecular Corona Influences the Cellular Uptake of Nanocarriers.

Few studies have considered the interaction of nanocarriers with drugs and the implications for their individual efficiency. Here, we demonstrate that heparin, a common anticoagulant, interacts with nanocarriers. Hence, nanocarriers, precoated with heparin and plasma in different conditions, were incubated with cancer cells, as well as primary cells from human blood. The relation between the timing of the heparin's addition to the nanocarrier and the cellular uptake extent was assessed by flow cytometry. The phenomenon of poverty shows clearly the overflow of its economic dimension towards a powerful moral dimension, which has caused (and causes) contradictory social attitudes: acceptance or rejection; blaming or understanding; charity or duties, liability or inevitable fate; involvement or alienation; visibility or invisibility. This work analyzes the moral connotations that have been historically forming the concept of poverty to lead the paradigms with which today we conceive it and from which we intend to face it and fight it.

FACES OF AUTOCRACY IN CZECH LITERARY DYSTOPIASThe paper deals with the phenomenon of dystopia in Czech literature before 1989. The main aim of the article is to present some similiar views on totalitarian power and its influence on the individual in Czech novels and short stories: Datum narození nula by Ludmila Freiová, Poselství pro Agla Mathona by Ondřej Neff, Utopie, nejlepší verze by Ivan Kmínek and Maso by Martin Harníček. The purpose of the paper was also to show how in the authors’ visions of autocratic states, administration is taking control over ordinary people and what kind of tools it uses to manipulate them: terror, self-censorship or various addictions.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the efficiency cost of transfers. To this end, we develop a model of individual demand decisions about the provision of a regional public good that encompasses a continuum of tax–transfer scenarios to finance regional public expenditure. We assume that individuals have identical quasi-linear preferences defined over private consumption and the regional public good, that endowment income varies between individuals and regions, and that regions have different predetermined sizes.
