En l’ultim terc del segle XVIII la corona espanyola es va incorporar a la practica de promoure expedicions que, junt amb la reivindicacio sobre els territoris visitats, elaboraren tambe estudis i catalegs de les riqueses naturals trobades. La majoria dels expedicionaris van topar a la tornada amb la incomprensio i l’oblit de les mateixes institucions que havien promogut el seu viatge.

International audience; Public transportation in the Philippines' capital Manila takes different forms : elevated subway (LRT and MRT systems) and ground transportation (provincial and local buses, jeepneys, trisikel and pedicabs, taxis). Hours seem to be lost in traffic, and public transportation is very crowded. What are the reasons for these difficulties? Poor planning, lack of enforcement of the rules of circulation, an excessive rate of motorization, an insufficient development of quality public transit?
