Esophageal achalasia is an uncommon condition in children. The authors report on a 14-year-old girl who showed a very unusual association of cardiospasm and hypertrophic pyloric stenosis with a gastric phytobezoar.

Objective: The authors report their experience about the treat merit of two cases of gastric bczoar, treated in curative mode, the first endoscopically and the second with surgical intervention. Setting: Operative Unit of General and Thoracic Surgery, Department of General and Emergency Surgery, Organ Transplantation. Policlinico, University of Palermo. Imerventaiion: The patients were submitted to curative treatment, one with endoscopic treatment (mechanical frag- mentation of phytobezoar and fragments extraction via-over- tube), the second with surgical gastrotomy {stamp trichobezoar).
