Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome is a primary immunodeficiency state that is characterized by eczema, recurrent skin and lung infections, and markedly increased levels of IgE. Odontogenic infection can spread to vital and deep structures in such immunocompromised patients. We report a case of a 19-year-old man with hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome presenting deep neck space infection that had spread from periapical periodontitis of the lower molars. Objectives To assess rates of psychotropic medication use in patients with obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) in seven different countries on five continents and to compare these with international treatment guidelines. Methods Researchers in the field of OCD were invited to contribute summary statistics on the characteristics of their patients with OCD and on their incidence of psychotropic use. Consistency of summary statistics across countries was evaluated. Background Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin and mucous membrane presented with various clinical appearances. The aim of the present study was to elucidate the clinical profile of patients with OLP. Material and methods The dental records of 102 patients who visited Oral Medicine Clinic, Dental Hospital, Naresuan University during 2002-2018 were retrospectively reviewed. Results There were 75 (73.5%) women and 27 (26.5%) men, giving a female to male ratio of 2.8:1. The age of OLP patients ranged 20-81 years old with the mean age of 56.4 ± 13.2 years old.
