Il saggio propone una riflessione sul discorso attorno alla "frugalità" dalla prospettiva della geografia culturale, prendendo in considerazione almeno due coordinate: quella culturale e quella spaziale. Entrambe vengono declinate attraverso la relazione fra spazio, cibo e corpo e, più nello specifico, attraverso le categorie di "Pieno/Vuoto" e "Centro/Periferia". The phenomenon of piezoresistivity in materials is based on the separation of conductive domains triggered by mechanical strains, resulting in a variation of the electrical resistance.1 This property is at the core of sensors for wearable electronics, e-skins, human motion detectors and machine learning devices.2 Fundamental requirements include lightness, good transparency, high flexibility and sensitivity to tiny deformations. The radiosity equation is an integral equation of the second kind which describes the energy exchange by radiation between surfaces in R3. It is assumed that all surfaces are Lambertian reflectors and that all emitters are diffusive emitters. The radiosity equation plays an important role for the calculation of photo realistic images with the help of computers. Many surfaces which are used in practical calculations are only piecewise smooth and contain edges or corners. In this contribution we present regularity results for the solution of the radiosity equation in the vicinity of corners. With whom to merge? A tale of the Spanish banking deregulation process

We propose a spatial competition model to study banks’ strategic responses to the asymmetric Spanish geographic deregulation process. We find that once the geographic deregulation process finishes, inter-regional mergers between savings banks are optimal whenever the economies of scale associated to merging activities are low. If there are large gains, then there will be mergers between savings and commercial banks.
