Literatūras apskatā apkopota informācija par aerosoliem un to pētīšanas metodēm, salūta epizožu laikā radīto gaisa piesārņojuma ietekmi gan cilvēka organismam, gan klimatam un iekārtām, kuras izmanto paraugu ņemšanā un analīzē. Darba eksperimentālajā daļā veikta gaisa aerosolu daļiņu ņemšana uguņošanas laikā un ikdienā, frakcionējot smalkās un rupjās aerosolu daļiņas. Smalkajām un rupjajām aerosolu daļiņām noteikta masas koncentrācija un metālisko elementu saturs, izmantojot ICP-MS un TXRF analīzes.
Estudio de factores asociados con amputación, en pacientes diabéticos con ulceración en pie

Objetivo: Analizar factores asociados con amputación en pacientes diabéticos que presentan úlceras en sus pies, con el fin de identificar sujetos con alto riesgo para amputación. Método: Hemos estudiado 152 diabéticos que acudieron a la Unidad del pie diabético desde enero de 1996 hasta junio de 1998 con úlceraciones en sus pies. En 14 de ellos fue necesaria la amputación. Se excluyeron sujetos con gangrena. Resultados: Los factores asociados con amputación fueron: antecedentes personales de amputación previa (odds ratio 3,7; 1,01-13,7), retinopatía proliferativa, osteomielitis y, de forma independiente, la presencia de vasculopatía (7,1; 1,88-27,2) e infección grave (14,4; 2,92-71,2). The effect of electromagnetically induced transparency is observed, using nanocelland microcell. The EIT-resonance with good parameters (high contrast and small FWHM) is obtained in thick cells. The EIT-resonance splitting in magnetic field is observed for the cases of D1-line of 85Rb and 85Rb. The theoretical model, explaining the EIT-resonance components frequency shift dependence on magnetic field strength is presented. The theoretical and experimental results are compared and good agreement is shown. Also the EIT-resonance behavior in hyperfine Paschen-Back regime is presented and explained. Using a narrow-band resonant fluorescence spectra from a nano-cell with a thickness of L= [lambda]/2, and VSOP resonances formed at a thickness L =[lambda] ([lambda] is the wavelength of the resonant radiation), for the first time it was experimentally investigated the behaviour of the frequency and intensity (transition probabilities) of the atomic hyperfine structure transitions between the 85Rb, 87Rb, D1 and D2 lines Zeeman sublevels in external magnetic fields in range 5 - 7000G. The behaviour of tens of previously unstudied atomic transitions was analyzed and it is demonstrated that the intensities of these lines can both greatly increase, and decrease (tenfold). There is growing evidence for a nitric oxide/cyclic GMP pathway of signal transduction in the vestibular system. Recently, two isoforms of nitric oxide (NO) synthase (nNOS and eNOS) and NO itself have been identified at the light microscopic level in the vestibulocochlear system of mice using specific antibodies and a new fluorescence indicator. The scrapie prion protein, PrPSc, is formed from its isoform, the cellular PrPc. There is evidence available indicating that PrPSc is necessary component of the infectious prion particle to cause a series of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. We have used immunocytochemistry and RNA blotting techniques to investigate if infection with prions results in an increased PrP gene expression. For the experiments we used N2a cells which had been infected with prions (ScN2a cells). We demonstrated by confocal laser scanning microscopy that PrP-protein was present in the nucleus (predominantly in the nucleoli) of ScN2a cells.
