Jacques Rancière’s sophisticated critique of critical theory is the first step in his call for a renewal of a theory of emancipation. In the first part of the article, the authors outline this critique. Rancière combines pedagogy, art and policy in his attempt to develop a new understanding of equality and emancipation. Este modo de entender la existencia, basado en la reivindicación de modelos no patriarcales y holísticos, está surcado por diferentes tendencias, desde experiencias diversas, pero nacen de un tronco común y complementan un modo de estar del mundo: la conciencia de ser naturaleza. This article focuses on exerting influence in leadership, namely manipulation in storytelling. Manipulation is usually considered an unethical approach to leadership. We will argue that manipulation is a more complex phenomenon than just an unethical way of acting in leadership.
