‘The dodo-bird verdict’ represents a boggling outcome of research that shows no significant difference between the outcomes of a variety of psychotherapy treatments. Not being able to scientifically discriminate between psychotherapeutic treatments, casts doubt on their theoretical underpinnings, and even on their efficacy. Pieaugošā sociālā vajadzība noteikt darbinieku labklājību par prioritāti prasa pragmatisku veidu, kā panākt labāku demokrātiju darba vietā mūsdienu kapitāla uzkrāšanas laikmeta robežās. Pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt priekšlikumus demokrātijas uzlabošanai darba vietā, izmantojot teledarba politiku. Rezultāts ir priekšlikumu kopums, kuru mērķis ir uzlabot demokrātiju darba vietā, izmantojot atbilstošu tāldarba politiku, vienlaikus uzlabojot darbinieku labklājību. Procesā netika atrasta statistiski nozīmīga saikne starp subjektīvo autonomiju, atbildību un sniegumu. Tālāk autore izstrādāja provizorisku teorētisku ietvaru, kurā darba demokrātija ir apvienota ar tāldarbu.

Definition of Water Meter Substitution Plans based on a Composite Indicator

This paper presents a water meter substitution plan based on a composite "Replacement indicator" which was defined and compared with common substitution strategies based on meter age and on run-to-fail approaches. The methodology was applied to one of the 17 sub-networks in which the Palermo city water distribution network (Italy) is divided. The analysis was carried out considering a substitution budget limitation and the results showed that the use of "Replacement indicator" outperform the classical substitution strategies based on meter age because it takes into account some other variables that may affect meter precision and wearing. Fluticasone propionate aqueous nasal spray (FPANS) is a topically active glucocorticoid which has been successfully used for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR). Topical levocabastine is a highly selective H1 antagonist which has been proposed as an alternative treatment of SAR. The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical efficacy of two topical nasal treatments, FPANS and levocabastine, in the treatment of SAR. Background: Nursing work environments are defined as the characteristics of the workplace that promote or hinder the provision of professional care by nurses. Positive work environments lead to better health outcomes. Our study aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of primary health care settings in Spain. Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out from 2018 to 2019. We used the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index and the TOP10 Questionnaire of Assessment of Environments in Primary Health Care for data collection.
