A novel correction method for a low cost sensorless control system of IPMSM electrical drives

In this paper a novel correction method for sensorless Field Oriented Control System of Brushless internal Permanent Magnet Electrical Drives is introduced discussed and experimentally validated. The novelty of this control system is the estimation of rotor speed and angular position is based on the back electromotive force space vector determination, without the aid of voltage probes. Actual voltage signals needed for estimation are replaced with the reference ones given by the current controller. Diagnosis of papillary muscle rupture after acute myocardial infarction by transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography.

The sensitivity of transthoracic echocardiography to visualize the structural abnormality of papillary muscle rupture (PMR) after acute myocardial infarction can be anticipated to average about 50%; therefore, we evaluated five patients exhibiting the condition with both transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. The use of the two imaging techniques resulted in the fact that no instance of PMR was missed. Using transthoracic echocardiography in two patients and transesophageal echocardiography in four, the ruptured papillary muscle was visualized directly. Abstract Background The Artificial Kidney Initiation in Kidney Injury (AKIKI) trial showed that a delayed renal replacement therapy (RRT) strategy for severe acute kidney injury (AKI) in critically ill patients was safe and associated with major reduction in RRT initiation compared with an early strategy. The five criteria which mandated RRT initiation in the delayed arm were: severe hyperkalemia, severe acidosis, acute pulmonary edema due to fluid overload resulting in severe hypoxemia, serum urea concentration > 40 mmol/l and oliguria/anuria > 72 h. An analytical solution for multilayered beams subjected to ends loads

An alternative model for multilayered beams undergoing axial, shear and bending loads applied at the beam's ends is developed. It is based on a layer-wise kinematics, which inherently fulfills the equilibrium equations at layer level and the interface continuity conditions. This kinematics is suitably expressed by introducing a set of generalized variables representative of the beam midline displacement field, which become the primary variables of the problem governing equations. Customized Titanium Lattice Structure in Three-Dimensional Alveolar Defect: An Initial Case Letter

The aim of this initial case report was to provide a new protocol for the clinical application of a patient-specific titanium lattice structure (Yxoss CBR®, ReOSS, Filderstadt, Germany) for customized bone regeneration. To obtain a 3-dimensional reconstruction of a posterior mandible segment in a 61-year-old woman, a patient-specific titanium customized lattice structure was used. As graft material autogenous bone tissue mixed with xenogenic alloplastic material (Bio Oss®, Geistlich Pharma, Wolhusen, Switzerland) was obtained for reconstruction. It was found that in Belgium, renal imaging techniques, demonstrating a decreased renal mass of both kidneys combined with either bumpy contours or papillary calcifications, were the only methods to reliably diagnose analgesic nephropathy (AN) in patients with end-stage renal failure. However, these criteria were selected in an area with a high prevalence of this disease (15.6% of the dialysis population at December 1990).
