"Facta non verba" : an experiment on pledging and giving

International audience; We design an experiment to investigate whether asking people to state how much they will donate to a charity (i.e., to pledge) increases their actual donation. Individuals’ endowment is either certain or a random variable. We study different types of pledges, namely, private, public and irrevocable, which differ in terms of the cost to the individual for not keeping the promise. We show that in absence of endowment uncertainty, private and public pledges are associated with lower donations as compared to donations in the no-pledge case: private pledges slightly reduce donations and public pledges reduce them more significantly. Namely artificial ants which occurs for short term optimization and transporter's vehicles that occurs in long term and continuous optimization toward solving the real-world vehicle routing problem. The specific discipline of agricultural credit is different from that provided for other productive activities. The "naturalness" of the agricultural product is reflected in the incidence of credit risk. These economic evaluations, which are at the basis of what is known as agricultural exceptionalism, have repercussions on the legal system of access to credit, requiring, for example, a differentiated system of evaluation of creditworthiness.

Monitoring a meat-free pledge with smartphones:An experimental study

Pledges are a popular strategy to encourage meat reduction, though experimental studies of their efficacy are lacking. Three-hundred and twenty-five participants from three different countries (UK, Germany, Australia) were randomly assigned to pledge 28 days meat-free or not, and their behavior was tracked via smartphones. Participants answered daily surveys regarding their eating behavior, meat cravings, and shared photos of their meals. Baseline data was collected prior to the pledge, after the 28 days, and one-month post-intervention. This study concerns the legal situation of a receivable secured by a registered pledge in a debtor’s sanation (restructuring) proceedings. The registered pledgee has a special position in the course of such proceedings. The study discusses the rules of subjecting the receivable secured by the arrangement, the rules of preparing and contesting the list of receivables, and finally the rules of satisfying the pledgee.

Na ich tle powstaje zatem szereg interesujących zagadnień prawnych. W opracowaniu omówiono status w postępowaniu sanacyjnym wierzytelności zabezpieczonej zastawem rejestrowym.
