This paper concerns twelfth- and thirteenth-century deeds drawn up in Greek in an area where the hellenophone presence was deeply rooted. The Church and Greek monastic institutions continued to exert widespread influence, and the Byzantine cultural tradition was even more persistent. Document analysis supports two interpretive paths from which multilingual phenomena can be singled out and studied. (1) Social interactions. Kształcenie podyplomowe pielęgniarek i położnych na podstawie zadań Okręgowej Izby Pielęgniarek i Położnych w Katowicach w latach 2000-2017

Obowiązek stałej aktualizacji wiedzy pielęgniarek i położnych reguluje ustawa o zawodzie pielęgniarki i położnej oraz kodeks etyki. Okręgowa Izba Pielęgniarek i Położnych w Katowicach, jako organizator kształcenia podyplomowego, prowadząc wszystkie rodzaje kształcenia, przeszkoliła dotąd ponad 50 tysięcy uprawnionych osób. Celem pracy było dokonanie ewaluacji podjętych działań, w oparciu o materiały korporacyjne z lat 2000-2017. Przedstawione wyniki, w ujęciu ilościowym, obrazują poziom realnego zainteresowania kursami specjalistycznymi oraz kwalifikacyjnymi, a także źródła ich finansowania.

Incomplete retention of radiation damage in zircon from Sri Lanka

A suite of 18 zircon gemstones from placers in the Highland/Southwestern Complex, Sri Lanka, were subjected to a comprehensive study of their radiation damages and ages. The investigation included X-ray diffraction, Raman and PL spectroscopy, electron microprobe, PIXE and HRTEM analysis, as well as (U-Th)/He and SHRIMP U-Th-Pb age determinations. Zircon samples described in this study are virtually homogeneous. They cover the range from slightly metamict to nearly amorphous. Generally concordant U-Th-Pb ages averaging 555 ± 11 Ma were obtained. Late Ordovician zircon (U-Th)/He ages scattering around 443 ± 9 Ma correspond reasonably well with previously determined biotite Rb-Sr ages for rock…
