The Penning trap setup JYFLTRAP, connected to the IGISOL facility, has been extensively used for atomic mass measurements of exotic nuclei. On the proton rich side of the chart of nuclei mass measurements have mostly contributed to fundamental physics and nuclear astrophysics studies with about 100 atomic masses measured. peerReviewed

The applicability of UV/VIS spectroscopy for the characterization of well water quality was studied by analyzing 219 private wells from sparsely populated areas of Finland. In addition to conventional water quality indicators, such as conductivity, nitrate and DOC, a series of UV/VIS spectroscopic parameters were determined: A-224, A-254, A-280, A-365, A-436, the area under 250–350 nm, the area under 250–500 nm, SUVA-254, Molar Absorbance-280, Specific Color, A2/A3 and A2/A4, in order to find the most proper surrogate for the organic matter amount and the best indicator of organic matter quality. Laser spectroscopy of gallium isotopes beyond N = 50

The installation of an ion-beam cooler-buncher at the ISOLDE, CERN facility has provided increased sensitivity for collinear laser spectroscopy experiments. A migration of single-particle states in gallium and in copper isotopes has been investigated through extensive measurements of ground state and isomeric state hyperfine structures. Tämän tutkimusraportin tarkoituksena on antaa systemaattinen, toimialaluokitukseen perustuva kuvaus Keski-Pohjanmaasta. Vaikka kaikista osa-alueista ei tutkimusraportissa olekaan tekstiä kovin laajasti, raportti antaa silti toivottavasti yleiskuvan siitä, mistä Keski-Pohjanmaa elää. Samalla päättäjät myös näkevät, minkä verran mistäkin asiasta on saatavissa tietoa ja mistä asioista olisi lisäselvitystarpeita.
