The article will analyze the instances of Polish humorous discourse (largely Internet memes) to show which are the most frequent specific stereotypes about the Chinese and how that relates to Davies’s models of target choice. Interesujące gatunki chrząszczy (Coleoptera) z Puszczy Piskiej

W lipcu 2002 roku huragan zniszczył drzewostany na znacznym obszarze Puszczy Piskiej. Część uszkodzonego lasu – 475 ha – pozostawiono bez ingerencji (Las Ochronny „Szast”) – do naturalnej sukcesji. Local Interactions and the Global City Metropolization in Warsaw
2002
A number of the world's large cities are taking on increasing economic importance in the international arenas because they concentrate high-order activities This metropolization process is a result of the changes occurring in the emerging post-industrial economy, i.e. the rise of services and information. It is based on the combination of proximity interactions and global interactions and it is characterized both by a specific internal spatial pattern and by a large outside area of influence. Since the transition period, services, and particularly high-order services, have grown more rapidly in Poland than in EU countries, as if a catching-up process has been underway. A large part of these…

2022
Przedmiotem niniejszego tekstu jest ustalenie, czy art. 9a ustawy o Krajowej Radzie Sądownictwa jest zgodny z Konstytucją RP. W celu udzielenia odpowiedzi na to pytanie przeanalizowano relacje, jakie powinny panować pomiędzy poszczególnymi władzami w systemie opartym o zasadę podziału władz.

Published version of an article in the journal: Higher Education. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10734-014-9830-1 Access to higher education has become a key policy issue in most European countries in since the last half of the last century. We trace the historical development of the ways in which governments in two countries within the region, Norway and Poland, have attempted to steer developments. Three access waves or phases are identified and contextualized, by illuminating dominant policy logics and tensions. Our analysis suggests that “coping with the flow” reflects a continuous attempt to instrumentalize higher education and make it serve different …
