Lanthanide-doped nanoparticles constitute a versatile family of photoluminescent local nanoprobes. In this work, we study the photoluminescence of Eu3+-doped NaYF4 nanorods characterized by highly polarized spectra. We develop a full theoretical model and paraxial approximation for nanorod dipole emission. We measure the photoluminescence of individual nanorods by fluorescence confocal microscopy and determine some of their intrinsic optical properties. En raison de leur mode de façonnage, de leur technique de montage et du style de leur décoration, ils sont rapprochés ici des sphéroïdes italiens qui sont généralement complets. International audience; The “multicentric city” is an oversimplified view of the contemporary city. The term “center” covers a multi-faceted reality. A center is not only a concentration of activities. It also means domination,power, creation and interaction. Consequently, the “secondary centers” do not necessarily replicate the main center and they are clearly differentiated. We define the “pole” as a concentration ofactivities, whatever their nature, and the “center” as a concentration of high-order and strategic activities, so that the so-called multicentric cities may be both multipolar and monocentric. Crimea has always been at the crossroads of cultures, civilizations, dialogue of cultures. At the beginning of the 21th century, the representatives of over 175 nations belonging to different confessions lived in the Crimea. In different periods of the Crimean history alongside with Orthodox churches and Muslim mosques, churches of other religions and confessions existed. Scientists pay attention to both national structure and poly confessionalism of this region. The presented work deals with the key points of Catholicism evolution in the Crimea. Special attention is paid to some periods as well as events and people associated with them.

The third instar larva and puparium of Gastrops willistoni Cresson (Diptera: Ephydridae), preying on eggs in a foam nest of Leptodactylus knudseni Heyer (Anura: Leptodactylidae), in a central Amazonian dryland forest (Brazil) are described for the first time. The fusiform larva has a short breathing tube, its anterior spiracles are fan-shaped and posterior spiracles with three spircular openings. Pupa is ovoid with a broad anterior margin and bifurcate posterior tip. The taxonomic relationship of the frog egg predators, Gastrops Williston and Typopsilopa Cresson, are discussed.

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę opisu funkcjonowania Trybunału Konstytucyjnego w Polsce oraz ocenę tej działalności przez społeczeństwo. Przedstawiono pokrótce charakterystykę powołania do życia tego organu w Polsce, a następnie zaprezentowano jego podstawowe kompetencje. Opisano także skład i organy Trybunału. W ostatniej części skupiono się na analizie oceny Trybunału Konstytucyjnego przez Polaków w ostatnich 17 latach, od samego początku przeprowadzania badań na ten temat. Globalisation and metropolisation in modern economies induce some locational strategies of knowledge based activities towards cities and deeply increase trade and move of ideas across cities. In that context, we study the way knowledge spillovers have influenced the economic growth of 82 European Metropolises over the 1990-2005 period. We model knowledge spillovers across cities according to three specific interaction patterns depending either on geography or on global advanced services or thought a combination of these patterns. We show that the mixed pattern matters the best for economic growth of cities in Europe.
