Values of games with probabilistic graphs

Abstract In this paper we consider games with probabilistic graphs. The model we develop is an extension of the model of games with communication restrictions by Myerson (1977) . In the Myerson model each pair of players is joined by a link in the graph if and only if these two players can communicate directly. The current paper considers a more general setting in which each pair of players has some probability of direct communication. The value is defined and characterized in this context. It is a natural extension of the Myerson value and it turns out to be the Shapley value of a modified game.

Repeated games with probabilistic horizon are defined as those games where players have a common probability structure over the length of the game's repetition, T. In particular, for each t, they assign a probability pt to the event that "the game ends in period t". In this framework we analyze Generalized Prisoners' Dilemma games in both finite stage and differentiable stage games. This chapter discusses challenges related to teachers’ pedagogical activities in facilitating productive discussions among students in Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) contexts. In the light of two different cases from secondary-level and higher education contexts, the authors examine how teachers’ pedagogical choices influenced the quality of students’ activity, namely Web-based discussion. Affordances provided by digital technologies and mobile apps (WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger) help in maintaining familyhood. These mobile apps enable the creation of in-app family groups. They also afford image sharing, which is used for phatic purposes. The Practice of Professional Agency and the Emergence of Collaborative Creativity in Developmental Staff Meetings

In this study, we focused on the manifestations of professional agency and collaborative creativity in team meetings. We aimed to investigate how different kinds of professional agency are related to collaborative creativity. We used an ethnographic approach, collecting observational data from the team meetings of the Human Resource Department of a Finnish Health Care District during 2009–2010. We found that professional agency is practised in various ways in team meetings, reflecting different habitual practices and power relations.
