In The early 1960s a number of European governments, in consultation with scientists, engineers and industrialists, decided to enter space. To compete with the superpowers was, of course, out of the question – Europe had neither the resources nor the political interest to get involved in the space race. It was deemed possible, however, to pool the resources of the most industrialized European nations to support a limited effort in this important scientific and technological field.

This chapter describes the analyses and results for the ESRC Domain of Citizenship and Politics, guided by two main questions: How digital technology impacts on our autonomy, agency, and privacy; Whether and how our understanding of citizenship is evolving in the digital age. It first provides an initial overview of the major insights from the literature review and analysis, the Delphi surveys, and workshop discussions about the relevant range of the concepts of citizenship and politics in a digital age. In contemporary political economy of governance, this regime has been construed as a crisis response of the capitalist class to manage the conflict-ridden consequences of economic globalization; and, as an ideological project of a section of the ruling elites to justify the embedding of market-oriented development processes in a politically repressive government institution. Celem artykułu jest pogłębiona analiza wizerunku kobiet w polskiej reality TV, przeprowadzona przy użyciu kategorii biopolityki Michela Foucaulta, uzupełnionej przez myśl Marksowską i marksistowską. Tekst składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy dotyczy show Superniania, które pomogło zwrócić uwagę na kwestię biowładzy w sferze reprodukcji. Drugi rozdział omawia show randkowe, Hotel Paradise i Love Island. Wyspa Miłości, poruszając zagadnienia seksu i miłości. Ostatnia część skupia się na programie Damy i wieśniaczki, który pokazuje klasowy wymiar sprawowania biowładzy nad kobietami.
Mapping recent information behavior research: an analysis of co-authorship and cocitation networks

There has been an increase in research published on information behavior in recent years, and this has been accompanied by an increase in its diversity and interaction with other fields, particularly information retrieval (HR). The aims of this study are to determine which researchers have contributed to producing the current body of knowledge on this subject, and to describe its intellectual basis. A bibliometric and network analysis was applied to authorship and co-authorship as well as citation and co-citation. Les politiques de control de fronteres s’han anat consolidant, convertint Europa i l’Estat espanyol en una mena de fortalesa a la qual cada vegada es mes dificil penetrar, i per tant accedir al procediment d’asil. El govern espanyol prioritza la que denominen «lluita contra la migracio irregular» front al compliment dels compromisos que com a Estat, ha signat en materia de Drets Humans, vulnerant aixi el dret al asil i a la Proteccio Internacional recollit, entre d’altres, en la Convencio de Ginebra sobre l’estatut de les persones refugiades.
