Is large-scale rapid CoV-2 testing a substitute for lockdowns?

Background Various forms of contact restrictions have been adopted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Around February 2021, rapid testing appeared as a new policy instrument. Some claim it may serve as a substitute for contact restrictions. We study the strength of this argument by evaluating the effects of a unique policy experiment: In March and April 2021, the city of Tübingen set up a testing scheme while relaxing contact restrictions. Methods We compare case rates in Tübingen county to an appropriately identified control unit. We employ the synthetic control method. European universities must face the challenge of diversity and design inclusive practices to address it as part of their social responsibility. However, not all universities are doing the same in terms of diversity practices, so it is important to gather the perceptions of the protagonists. To this end, we have analysed university faculty’s perceptions using a mixed model with a concurrent methodological strategy, including an ad hoc questionnaire validated with 880 educators, as well as 17 semi‐structured interviews. Background Exercise during oncological treatment is beneficial to patient health and can counteract the side effects of treatment. Knowledge of the societal costs associated with an exercise intervention, however, is limited. The aims of the present study were to evaluate the long-term resource utilisation and societal costs of an exercise intervention conducted during (neo)adjuvant oncological treatment in a randomised control trial (RCT) versus usual care (UC), and to compare high-intensity (HI) versus low-to-moderate intensity (LMI) exercise in the RCT. Darbā tiek aplūkotas ES un ASV kiberdrošības politikas izmaiņas laika posmā 2016.-2020.gadam. Kā mērķis tiek izvirzīta kiberdrošības politikas veidošana ASV un ES pēc 2016.gada ASV prezidenta vēlēšanām, lai noskaidrotu, kā un vai attiecīgais notikums ir ietekmējis. Lai to paveiktu, tiek izvirzīti vairāki darba uzdevumi, t.sk. ASV un ES kiberdrošības politikas analīze laika posmā 2016.-2020.gadam. Šajā diplomdarbā tika izpētīti nosacījumi iekļaujošās izglītības un iekļaujošās politikas veidošanā pirmsskolā. Tika apzināti galvenie normatīvie dokumenti, kā arī apzināti un analizēti jaunākie pētījumi par pirmsskolas izglītību un iekļaujošo politiku.
