Śląscy Teksańczycy, od ponad 150 lat mieszkający w okolicach San Antonio w Teksasie, to dziś grupa szacowana przez niektórych badaczy na ok. 200 tysięcy (1%) mieszkańców tego stanu. Osie-dlali się zwykle grupowo, w przeciwieństwie do tzw. emigrantów brazylijskich z podobnego czasu. Tak powstały i istnieją do dziś osady o nazwach: Panna Maria (tu się wszystko zaczęło), Cesto-chowa, St. Hedwig, Kościuszko, Bandera i inne. Historię osadnictwa, losów rodzin, zachowania języka i kultury materialnej ujmują publikacje, niejednokrotnie niezwykle szczegółowe. Both German minority in Poland and Polonia in Germany constitute undoubtedly – along with the history, geographical location and common membership of the Republic of Poland’s and German Federal Republic’s to EU and NATO – one of more important determinants of relations between both states. As to the issue of execution of rights of Germans in Poland and Polonia in German the breakthrough took place as a result of signing Treaty on good neighborhood and friendly cooperation on 17.06.1991. Se trata de una tesis vinculada a una línea de investigación de carácter crítico. Concretamente se investiga en torno a la figura del escritor polaco Witold Gombrowicz centrándonos en su teatro, pero no sólo en sus escasas obras dramáticas, sino, también, en lo que el teatro significó para su vida y obra general. Uno de los escritores más novedosos del s.XX es, ciertamente, Witold Gombrowicz, famoso por su novela Ferdydurke y valorado por su Diario. Entendemos como discurso público el que se caracteriza mediante los atributos de autoridad (es decir, aquel que producen los intelectuales y políticos) y difusión (canalizado por medios y técnicas de distribución masiva). This paper deals with the character of Polish public discourse about the European Union. Public discourse means here a discourse based on authority (the discourse of intellectuals and politicians) and on diffusion (through means of communication). Guillem.Calaforra@uv.es
