Kepuasan Mahasiswa Terhadap Pelayanan Administrasi Akademik Fakultas Ilmu Ekonomi Dan Bisnis Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan

2020

This study aimed at determining students' satisfaction toward the BAAK FEB UMLA service based on tangibles, responsiveness, reliability, empathy, and confidence. This research was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The population of this research was semester II students of  Accounting and Management Study Program 2019-2020 as many as 41 students. The samples were obtained through Total Sampling. The data collection technique was attitude scale. Then the data were analyzed using trend test and percentage of a frequency distribution. The results of this study indicated: 1) Students' Satisfaction based on Tangibles aspects was 74.62%, 2) Students' Satisfaction based on Responsi…

Students with Severe, Permanent Disabilities and Their Educational Inclusion in Spain

2014

This article analyses the educational inclusion of students with severe and permanent disabilities in the different autonomous communities of the Spanish State. After describing the Spanish socio-economic context, a comparative analysis is carried out based on the following indicators: the conception of severe, permanent disabilities; the regulation framework; responsibility of schooling and provision of services; identification and assessment of flaws; incidence in the population; curricular proposals (model and modalities of support); specific centers and units; human and material resources; the role of families and funding. The analysis of the implemented policies concludes by pointing o…

The inheritance of organogenic response in melon

1996

Previous studies have demonstrated variation in organogenic competence among plants within a population ofCucumis melo. In order to determine if leaf explant response is under genetic control, we investigated the distribution of the shoot regeneration frequency in F1 and F2 generations from parents representing extreme values forin vitro organogenic response. Results suggest a genetic model with two genes, partial dominance, independent segregation and similar effects for both genes.

Positive mood induction procedures for virtual environments designed for elderly people

2012

Positive emotions have a significant influence on mental and physical health. Their role in the elderly’s wellbeing has been established in numerous studies. It is therefore worthwhile to explore ways in which elderly people can increase the number of positive experiences in their daily lives. This paper describes two Virtual Environments (VEs) that were used as mood induction procedures (MIPs) for this population. In addition, the VEs’ efficacy at increasing joy and relaxation in elderly users is analyzed. The VEs contain exercises for generating positive-autobiographic memories, mindfulness and slow breathing rhythms. The total sample comprised 18 participants over 55 years old who used t…

Happiness in advanced adulthood and the elderly

2016

The purpose of this study was to critically analyse the role that positive emotions, flourishing and mindfulness have among the elderly. It was explored how these concepts can contribute to successful aging and higher levels of happiness in this population. To this end, we conducted a non-experimental correlational study with 329 participants, aged from 55 to 98 years. Questionnaires were used to collect data through the following instruments: a socio-demographic questionnaire, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and PANAS (Positive and Negative Affect Schedule), FS (Flourishing scale), PST (Positivity test), MHI-5 (Mental Health Inventory -- 5).

Evidence from mtDNA RFLP analysis for the introduction of Fundulus heteroclitus to southwestern Spain

1996

Restriction analysis of mitochondrial DNA confirmed the taxonomic status of a southwestern Iberian Peninsula population of Fundulus heteroclitus and its probable origin in North America.

Ancient mitochondrial DNA analyses of Iberian sturgeons

2009

Summary Today’s European sturgeons are relics of erstwhile widely distributed populations, diminished mainly by overfishing and habitat changes over the centuries. While extinct European populations in the Baltic and North seas have been identified as Acipenser oxyrhinchus or A. sturio, a clear species determination on the Iberian Peninsula is still lacking. Plans to conserve existing populations and to re-introduce extinct wild populations in European rivers will benefit from information of historic population/genotype composition. In this study, we used techniques involving ancient DNA as well as morphological comparisons based on bony scutes to identify twelve samples from five archaeolo…

Allocation patterns in modes of reproduction in two facultatively sexual cryptic rotifer species

2015

Many zooplankters rely on diapausing stages to survive unsuitable conditions in time-varying habitats. In facultativesexualrotifers, reproductive effortallocatedtothe sexuallyproduced diapausingeggs isat the expenseofthe subitaneousparthenogenetic eggs, generatingatrade-offbetweencurrentand future population growth.Thetimingand the amountof sex (the sexual pattern) affect diapausing-egg production. This switch to sex is complex because the reproductivemode is separated in distinct females: asexual (female-producing), unfertilized sexual (male-producing) and fertilizedsexual (diapause-egg-producing). We studied sexual patterns and life-history variation of these females in two crypticspecies…

Native and subunit molecular mass and quarternary structure of the hemoglobin from the primitive branchiopod crustacean Triops cancriformis

2006

Many branchiopod crustaceans are endowed with extracellular, high-molecular-weight hemoglobins whose exact structural characteristics have remained a matter of conjecture. By using a broad spectrum of techniques, we provide precise and coherent information on the hemoglobin of one of the phylogenetically ‘oldest’ extant branchiopods, the tadpole shrimp Triops cancriformis. The hemoglobin dissociated under reducing conditions into two subunits, designated TcHbA and TcHbB, with masses of 35 775 ± 4 and 36 055 ± 4 Da, respectively, determined by ESI-MS. Nonreducing conditions showed only two disulfide-bridged dimers, a homodimer of TcHbA, designated D1 (71 548 ± 5 Da), and the heterodimer D2 (…

Mortality and socioeconomic indicators in Spain 1962-1991

2000

Background: The study objectives were to describe the evolution of mortality and some socioeconomic indicators in the Spanish provinces (n=50) in order to quantify their association and assess the capability of these socioeconomic factors in explaining mortality levels in the Spanish provinces over the period 1962–1991. Methods: An ecological cross-sectional study was performed in order to assess the relationships between some socioeconomic indicators and mortality in Spain. Data on both-sexes, all-causes, age-adjusted mortality and infant mortality, gross national product per head, economically active population and unemployment rates, population density, state hospital functioning beds an…
