Tutkielma kartoittaa itsemurhan esiintyvyyttä modernissa ja jälkimodernissa taiteessa ja pyrkii luomaan typologian niistä erinäisistä rooleista, joissa itsemurhan representaatio tällä reilun sadan vuoden aikajanalla esiintyy. Itsemurhan näkyvyydestä taiteessa tehty aiempi tutkimus on vähäistä ja painottuu modernismia edeltäneeseen taiteeseen, joten tutkielma pyrkii muodostamaan kokonaiskuvaa niukasti tutkitusta aihepiiristä. Tutkimuksen taustalla on ajatus siitä, että taide mahdollistaa itsemurhan kaltaisen tabun käsittelyn tavalla, jota arkikieli ei tue. The Broker in Pornography and Violence: Lou Reed in Lulu’s World

The article analyses the literary and cultural layers of Lulu, the album published by Lou Reed in collaboration with Metallica, based on Frank Wedekind’s two modernist dramas: Earth Spirit (1895) and Pandora’s Box (1904). In Reed’s reinterpretation, the two plays become his means through which he enters the area of disturbing perversion and graphic pornography. Consequently, Reeds seems to follow Susan Sontag’s diagnosis according to which the goal of pornographic literature is to disorient and to disturb mental balance. In the case of Lulu, it demonstrates Reed’s strategies of crossing the borders between what is commonly accepted and what is rejected because of its non-normative quality. …

Šī darba nosaukums ir “Pornogrāfija un mediji – sociālie un ētiskie aspekti”. Tajā tiek aplūkots, kā digitālie mediji ir mainījuši veidu, kā tiek radīts un patērēts pornogrāfiskais materiāls, un kā tas ir ietekmējis ar pornogrāfiju saistītos sociālos un ētiskos jautājumus. Par galveno teorētisko pamatu ar pornogrāfiju saistīto sociālo problēmu apskatei ir izmantota Ēriha Fromma filozofija. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām. Problem antybiotykooporności jest według WHO jednym z najbardziej donośnych zagrożeń XXI wieku. Z roku na rok umiera coraz więcej osób na skutek zakażenia bakterią, która jest oporna na znane antybiotyki. Aby zapobiegać rozwojowi antybiotykooporności konieczny jest wzrost świadomości społecznej o niekorzystnych skutkach nadużywania i niewłaściwego stosowania antybiotyków. W tym celu prowadzone są liczne kampanie i akcje społeczne. Aby dotrzeć z tymi informacjami także do młodzieży realizowane są projekty citizen science, w które zaangażowani są studenci i uczniowie.
