The Iberian peninsula is rich in marble, both white and coloured, of excellent quality, used in the past (Pliny NH, XXXVI, II) and also at the present time as material for building and decoration. Many types of these marbles are similar to some, better known, Greek, Italian, Egyptian and Asian marbles. During the Roman Empire “ marmor carystium ” was extensively used. Euro Crisis and plurality: Does the political orientation of newspapers determine the selection and spin of information?

This article studies the impact of right and left moderate political orientation of newspapers on the levels of plurality in the news coverage of the Euro Crisis in 20 newspapers from 10 European countries through a methodology based on Simpson’s D index. The expectation of finding distinct patterns of coverage leading to high levels of plurality was not fully supported and the results have shown that national frames influence levels of overall plurality more than political ideology.

In this study the first contact between Western and Asia culture, specifically with China, is reviewed. It begins with a reference to the Roman Empire mentioning the most relevant reference works for a more in-depth study. Next, it focuses on the diaspora of Nestorian Christianity towards the East and specifically its location in Chinese territory, considering also the main reference works and following a historical and lineal story. Para ello se revisa la bibliografía más relevante sobre el tema, así como la documentación histórica, legal y política, describien do su historia desde sus orígenes y los nuevos caminos que se van trazando, en relación con el aumento de la accesibilidad a la documentación que gestionan y a las nuevas estrategias de difusión de la información entre la ciudadanía. Todo ello en el marco de las distintas ini ciativas de modernización administrativa y las nuevas tecnologías disponibles.
